It's been quite a journey, thanks for sticking through it! Just a heads up if you did want to hear more, this show takes clips from the Ricky Gervais Show podcast. The Ricky Gervais XFM radio show was separate, and came a few years earlier. It's less structured but is packed full of hilarious moments. A lot of the talking topics and points of reference in the podcast hark back to the radio show.

Thanks for bringing us more Karl (and with that so much delight). In the spirit of the editing of these compilations, here's a totally random quote from Karl: "There's a time and place to be lost." And as this was the last episode of the series Karl's journey has come to a fork in the road - and he's taken it.

If you're gonna listen to their other stuff, you should listen to some of Karl's segments that weren't on these episodes: One was called Educating Ricky: Where Karl"teaches" Ricky stuff😄 One was called Rockbusters: Where Karl gives"cryptic"clues that make up a band or an artist. Good luck guessing any of them right😄 There was also one where he would take clips from songs that would form a sentence and Ricky and Steve would try to guess the sentence😄Not sure what that was called. But yeah, there's still lot of good stuff that werent on this show😃

Probably the best thing to do with the XFM stuff is the compilations, Karl vs Steve, Rockbusters, Educating Ricky, Monkey News, are all good ones. People have made countless compilations. Theres no animation for these besides small clips done by fans but in my opinion the original XFM shows were even funnier, some of the stuff from these podcasts that the animations are based on are actually retellings of stories Karl told back in the XFM radio days, the first time is always the funniest.

Karl is actually a genius, he just cannot express himself as one. Every single point he makes he's misunderstood. Good reaction, enjoyed watching.

I think I have come across this information somewhere- Karl is a lot younger than his brother and sister so that is why they are not close. Also Karl mentions somewhere that he he did not do so well at school because he missed large chunks of school. His parents would decide to go on holidays and take the caravan and Karl to Wales. His parents didn't mind that they were taking Karl on holidays during school time. Karl did not mention his siblings when he talked about this so it seems that Karl was born when his parents were older?

But remember, this show was only made from their podcast, you still have all the XFM content to go through which contains much more Karl fun! I’d recommend going back and listening to the full XFM shows in order to get the full Karl experience, from a guy who occasionally spoke on air and was only there to play songs and hit the buttons, and then slowly becoming the star of the show, it’s an epic journey!

The animated show doesn't actually come ftom XFM, it come from a series of podcasts they did later. We meed to let you know a good place to start listening from, because the first few XFM shows Karl barely speaks. The Ricky Gervais Show ended, but we're glad the Mandy Cane Lane Show continues. I get it with the time. I was enjoying 1995, but here we are in 2023. It's like you snap your fingers, and our entire life went by in a flash. It's like high school was yesterday. (Biscuit) Next Karl will say an ant is flying an air plane. (Condom) That surprised ME. THAT as a gift?! And then Suzanne's reaction. 😂I would have dressed up like Santa and said "ho ho ho!" And then I would have said "The step after this is the greatest gift of all." 😂Two weeks ago I Googled the typical size of a condom, and different sites give different size ranges, but it's basically just over 7 inches as the typical max size. I was like "Good! It's JUST big enough to fit." 😂Barely, but "just" big enough. My younger self is jealous of Karl, cause he has a girl to give that to. "Coconuts are hard. Literally. I tried to bust them open." 😂Sometimes we can't get around the semantics. 😂 (Twins) I agree with both sides. I agree with Karl that you don't want the same thing twice. Duplicates get boring, and that's sometimes not as useful. Like lets say for cars. You already have a Buick car. Get a Chevy pickup to carry furniture or tools around. The Buick is just for you to get around. But at the same time, if you like one twin, you know you will also like the other twin, or that you're at least likely to like the other twin. So, I see both sides. News is current events. Otherwise it's history. Current events being history unfolding in front of our eyes, whereas "history" being stuff that already happened some time ago. It's new when it's happening right now, but then it's also new to us when we didn't know the info. Everything is new to everyone until they learn it. Then, the question is whether they understood the info or forgot the info. If you forgot, it's like the info is new to you all over again. Cause you have no memory of learning it before. Even though others might remember you learning it. (Generation of siblings not talking) That's it. You have officially convinced me that you're right. Note to self. NEVER visit Argentina as a tourist. As badly as I've always wanted to go. All of these crazy stories you have of that country. (Buys Mandy a plane ticket to Los Angeles, and finds Mandy an apartment there. And then, hopes to get her autograph). I'm just glad your mom and her sister at least speak when it's dealing with lawyers and inheritance. Good thing they know they HAVE to speak, at those moments. Cause some people won't even speak to their sibling at THOSE moments, and that's the one time you HAVE to, and should. I have lots of family who I will never know. (And, I have LOTS of family on both sides, enough to fill a city, and I'm not exaggerating. The one guy I descend from, alone, had 26 children). I never met most of these family members before, and likely never will, and even if I were to, it's not like we would wind up keeping in touch. It would just be "nice to meet you," and that's it, like most people. Even my half brother, I don't know. I only met him once, when I was four, for about two weeks. But it's for various reasons. It's not because people were estranged. Like, my half bro was raised by his mother wherever they lived, and so my full bro and I never got to see him. We never had any contact info to call him, or what. All we know is his name, so it's not like we can track him down, today, either. So, I know the feeling. But, I was still blessed enough to see six generations alive at the same time, and now there's a seventh generation, and I met all seven generations. I'm likely the only one who can say that. It's great that the show went out laughing. This show could have went 20 episodes per season, for five seasons, and Mandy would have been happier, cause there would have been more. They also could have decided to do the same here as they did on An Idiot Abroad, and have the last episode look back on the season to discuss it. Since you mentioned The Simpsons, I still remember seeing the very first ever episode of The Simpsons. I only remember a couple of pieces. But enough to say I remember. I hope my comments have been entertaining to you, Mandy. I know they can get long, like this one. But still hopefully entertaining.
