It’s a dream, rode it all season in New Zealand from June-aug. liked it way better than the burton custom camber I had. Excited to try them both coming up soon on the west coast here shortly

Hey. What is it that you loved more about it? I'm looking at both of these boards. Would you mind doing a detailed review of both? I'd really appreciate it.
@RecordedYou2 жыл бұрын
I bought this thing as a beginner last season- the speed threw me into code brown. But what an amazing board especially with bigger feet. I never caught my toes, I was in control even in dicey situations, and my surf/skate experience translated well. Beginners: Warpig. Period. Don't take the speed warning lightly ☠️

How does the board differ from the mtnpig, which is also supposed to be very aggressive?
@TheSketchyBean4 жыл бұрын
Loving the in depth review! Is this more or less aggressive than last years? About the same? Im looking for a volume shifted do it all with camber, but maybe less aggressive than this. Any suggestions? Also, how do you think this stacks up to the Marhar lumberjack x (Ljx)? Could you do a review on that?
@SearchofSnowboarding4 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude! The superpig is going to be the same as last year's in all regards. If you want less aggressive maybe check out the Warpig, its all the same specs as the superpig but with a flat camber profile, so more relaxed but still super stable: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHOnXp-jZbiUmKs Obviously, any of these type of boards are going to be more aggressive in the regular camber versions. The superpig isn't too aggressive. The Ultra Mind Expander, which is the same style of board from Jones, is stiffer and more aggressive than the superpig. As far as comparing the superpig to any Marhars, Ride Snowboards is much more of an established brand and have been in the industry for much longer. Because of that they have had much longer to dial in the technology they put in their snowboards. I've never even heard of Marhar before. I wouldn't be able to do any reviews on them as I don't have access to any of their products.

@@SearchofSnowboarding thanks! Good to know. What do you think is a better all mountain board? The superpig or the orca?

I bough the MTN Pig last year and rode a couple days at Alyeska and 1 Heli day in Chugach - loved it. Wondering how that board compares to the Super Pig - my MTN Pig is a 159 and absolutely rips...but i like the Superpig style and twin shape - riding switch on the SuperPig isn't a big issue, right? How's the Superpig handle deep pow?
@gexxer62 жыл бұрын
Also, great video!!!
@SearchofSnowboarding2 жыл бұрын
The SuperPig is going to be more aggressive overall. But the biggest difference is that it is volume shifted so you would ride the 154 or even 151 for the Super. It's not twin, and has a much wider nose than tail, so it won't really ride switch that much differently than the Man Pig. With how much taper it has and the early rise in the nose, it rides pow great. Hope that helps. Thanks dude!

what is the entry foot width of this board? My foot size is 275-280, fitting boot size 10, and the boot total size is 300, is it covered by the 154 or 158? I don't want my boot over snowboard either toe or hell
@SearchofSnowboarding Жыл бұрын
It depends on some other specs, not just the length of the board. You'll want to check the waist width of the size of each board
@lxue5518 Жыл бұрын
@@SearchofSnowboarding I knew the waist of both 154 and 158, but the board did not have number for boot entry size, with edge cut, only knew the waist of board, will not know the boot entry part size, for waist 270 and 277, the boot entry width is over 300 or not?

Nice review. That board looks sick! How would this compare to a K2 simple pleasure for Pow and carve?
@SearchofSnowboarding3 жыл бұрын
Both pretty similar boards, but the Superpig is going to carve a little harder because its a little stiffer and a little wider. And I would imagine they would both ride powder pretty much the same because of their identical profiles. One thing to keep in mind is that the Superpig comes in more size options.

Oh Damn, sorry to hear that. Generally I wouldn't be worried about riding it switch, you just have to be on it because the aggressiveness of this board will throw you down if you're not

@rockymountainotter82323 жыл бұрын
Overall solid review.. But I've gotta disagree hugely about your evaluation of the camber/rocker profile. A true camber would be cambered from contact point to contact point. Camber that only exists between the feet is defintely a hybrid as RIDE states. Once the camber is loaded, the board performs as a slight rocker, but wants to snap back and give you the rebound you need for aggressive carves or mogul riding. This board looks like a great option for moglus/steeps riders who need rebound at edge change, or folks who just want to haul ass and lay a heavy edge trench.

Can we compare this years Orca?
@SearchofSnowboarding3 жыл бұрын
Although the Superpig and Orca are both volume shifted boards (short, wide) they are going to be very different. Because the superpig is regular camber and stiffer it is going to be a much more aggressive ride. The orca is more laid back and surfy because of its hybrid camber profile. Here's the video I recently did on the orca kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqmvepyPZpKWnNk
@Fargfam3 жыл бұрын
@@SearchofSnowboarding thank you for your thorough reply. I have a Superpig but am considering an Orca as well. Too much overlap?
@SearchofSnowboarding3 жыл бұрын
Not too much overlap if you really enjoy the short wide boards because they are going to be two totally different rides because of the camber profile of each.
@alexanderanghel79463 жыл бұрын
That's funny. I have an orca and I'm debating the superpig because I have a great deal right now. I'm also worried about too much crossover. I'm 5'7 155lbs and boot 9. You think small (148) is best?? What do you like better orca or superpig?? I mainly ride groomers and I fly. Some park runs.
