your attention to detail and professional conduct is a great lesson to many budding (and journeymen) construction personal. And having watched your videos I don't believe this is simply "because the cameras are rolling". By thinking both behind and ahead of the current situation you can make your life easier and provide a good work site for the next trade. With this mindset you'll never be out of work and be top of the list for contracts.

I picked up that rear handle makita cordless saw kit with the extra batteries a few weeks ago. The saw is definitely awesome. I probably wouldn't have ever purchased it if i didnt see mattbangswood put it threw the test of time. Hopefully makita steps up and sponsors the channel. That place is looking great, cant wait for the roof system, keep up the awesome work and always Bang on Brother 🤘🇺🇸

Matt, this is a pure guess: I think the reason the nail guns won't nail the last 5 nails is because when the strip gets down that low there is a chance the gun will jam. It's kinda like when an office paper stapler gets down to those last few staples, you can almost count on the thing jamming, and it's a pain in the butt to pry those deformed staples out of the stapler. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Lol Happy Birthday!

Yes the TICO nails jam in any nailer which shoots the whole clip. I use a Senco, it jams on the last 2-3 nails every time if you don’t reload before then.

I agree wholeheartedly with snapping a line and getting straps lined up properly. It takes an almost negligible amount of time difference than if you just eye-ball it, and it just looks good. My grandpa was a general contractor and he always said “a sloppy job is a bad one”!

the helper nail and his brother the helper screw, useful for when you need to pivot something and only have one pair of hands. Lets not forget his daddy, the helper block, used for a temp prop when your timber is running wild. In fact I have a whole construction crew right here in my tool belt..

Love your videos very informative. I know it does not pertain to this house. But, soom time in the future could you, maybe in a framing 101 class, show how you install the hold downs from a sheer wall threw a wood subfloor foundation. I can not find any videos on the subject. Many on concrete foundations but not elevated foundations. Much thanks.

I have found that the helper nail works better if you nail it to end of the joist, if you put the helper nail in the bottom of the joist you can slide the 2x6(or anything else) if need be. just my opinion of course and you do you! keep up the good work
