This time the RePlay camera is fairing mounted, so you get the lean effect. We started out the session slowly, again- cold tires- and Kevin was leading me on his yellow 748. He wanted to see what my line was through The Ridge section; the one that looks like a miniature version of the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca. I tend to cut tight at the top, so I end up with an inside line at the bottom and then double-apex the little carousel so I can be tighter to the inside for the final right to get a good drive into the straight. Toward the end of the session, you'll see a track marshal put out his leg after he passes me at the end of the straight. That's a "sorry about that" gesture, and he looks back again to see if I'm OK about that and I gave him a thumbs-up to let him know that it was cool. At the end, he pulls off and I catch up to talk reassure him that I thought it was perfectly clean, and we had a little chat. My last lap was pretty slow as I was about worn out.
You can hear the delicious sound of the 749 at speed better in this clip than when the RePlay is helmet mounted.
