Y&T formed in 1974 and have been releasing albums and touring ever since. I was first introduced to their music with the song "Meanstreak" on a cassette compilation called 'Masters of Metal.'
I've been a huge fan ever since. Dave Meniketti is one of the best guitarists and singers going and he's written some timeless guitar riffs.
I've chosen a cross section of some of the Y&T riffs and songs that meant something to me as a fan and guitar player, but there are so many other riffs I could have included! This video is already over 20 minutes long so this will have to do for now. If you are new to Y&T consider this an introduction to the band, and if you are a long time fan, like me, I hope you enjoy playing these riffs!
