This was a great video, Brian! The perfect blend of photos and video. The narration and music were also perfect. Wow. It was such a relaxing video to watch. You did an outstanding job with this one!

Thanks, Dane. I was hoping to depict what our trips are like; "a sense and a feeling", rather than simply talking. I am pleased with how it turned out.

I don't know why the various states don't just call all of these places state parks. State Recreation Area sounds like a free-for-all, do as you please type of place. State Park gives these places a little bit of legitimacy and makes it sound like a "pristine" place to explore, which I think is probably true overall for this location.

Honestly, I never really thought about whether or not there is a difference, but I just looked it up. Apparently there is a somewhat legalistic reason. This is what I found: "State parks are considered closed to hunting unless posted open. State Recreation Areas are open to hunting unless posted closed." trekers.org/history-and-hiking-mi-state-parks/#:~:text=State%20Park%20vs.&text=State%20parks%20are%20considered%20closed,other%20parks%20we%20visited%20recently.

@@GreatLakesBackpacker The respective names for these places are much different from each other than are the reasons why they have different names to begin with. Go figure.
