That man knew a lot more than he was allowed to say officially. It would be nice to disconnect him from Bridgestone and ask him the same questions. 👍

What would be better is having an expert breaking down popular tyres and talking about why certain things work and don't. So say comparing the an AX41 to a Michelin Anakee Wild and doing an in depth comparison, compound, carcass, construction, then having someone go around a track on tar and unsealed and comparing the times etc...

Nice video lots of info. Recently bought a GS1250 and they came with Bridgestone tyres, must say they are v/good and give lots of confidence.

I just put the AX 41 ‘s on my tenere 700, I’m very happy with ! Very good on tarmac also, and way better than pirelli str on the dirt. Hope they can do 10.000km now.

Tire life is so had e to determine. I have a new GSA with Anakee Adventure’s which people report 8-11k miles. I am a mostly sport bike rider and put a stage 2 tune on the GS and it lasted 3k miles. You just never know. I’ve never gotten more than 3500 miles out of any tire on any cruiser, ADV, sport touring, or sport bike.

Am I the only one who really wanted to know what the AX41S under his elbow is used for?

Interesting vid. Here’s a question... what tyre would you recommend on tarmac which isn’t only wet but also covered with a thin layer of mud and/or cow manure? Might seem a strange question but I live in a rural farming area and have to negotiate a network of country lanes, which a frequently used by tractors etc, before I can reach a proper main road, and I want to be able to keep riding in wet weather. I’ve seen tyres made for cutting through deeper mud onunmetalled tracks, and tyres designed to deal with roads covered in rainwater, but this is something in between and I’ve yet to identify a tyre that is designed for it. . I currently use Pilot 4,s on my Z1000SX which are good in the pure wet but I’m wary of the extra slipperiness of a thin layer of wet mud, manure etc. It,s not enough of a layer for a knobbly tyre to dig into, but at the same time I imagine the thicker consistency won’t allow a pure road tyre, even one designed for the wet, to expel it out of the sipes effectively enough. Any thoughts? I’m considering adding an adventure bike to my stable for this purpose but not sure what rubber would work best on these tarmacked but mud-splattered lanes. Any advice would be welcome. Cheers!

Any "fake" adventure tyre for big adventure bikes (bmw GS, KTM 1290, Yamaha Supertenerè, etc.) that fit on your bike should do the work. If you don't care of the noise, then go for metzeler karoo street.

The ax41 is excellent. But treat is as an off road tyre cos that's what it is.

Get mynewGSA on Wednesday it’s coming on A41’s looking forward to trying them . Do you still get Oem to real tyre differences or are they all the same these days ?? 🏍🏍👍👍

There are still differences on some bikes' OE rubber, but it's got a lot better. BMW tends to use good stuff on there out of the factory. Cheers, John

Why would you buy an Adventure bike and only ride it on bitumen, doesn’t make sense to me , just saying.
@chrishart85483 жыл бұрын
Long travel suspension upright riding position. Sometimes a larger front wheels 19 or 21" goes over imperfections in the road better. Better view over the cars with a high riding position.
