Aside from the fencing head piece I think paintball pads would be a really good option they make full arm pads and padded / hard armor gloves.

Would it be an idea to use light hema jackets instead of various protectors? I know Neymann fencing makes star wars themed jackets, and since it's Neymann, the most likely also offer them with the strings and straps to attach their elbow and shoulder guards. For gloves, you could go with the red dragon hema gloves, which are the currently among the best military sabre gloves, and they're significantly cheaper than good lacrosse gloves. A little note about the masks, the mesh isn't what has the rating, it is the bib. The newton rating is a penetration rating which is relevant when epees and foils break. If the epee mask caves in, I would suggest you move up to a hema mask, which is actually designed to take heavy hits, they even have a suspension system to absorb some of the impacts.

No you cannot. You have to use a Lightspeed blade.

@@trippedtiger9082 would airsoft gloves work? They are thinner but they are covered by a layer of rubber. They do cover the wrist as well with a velcro strap
