@Muyshtic9 ай бұрын
@@Crashed131963 It kinda depends on your own personal experience, if you're not gaming frequently, then a normal dualsense is just fine since you won't wear down the sticks as fast and getting a new controller after maybe 2 years is fine... But if you're frequently gaming, and especially if you're playing games that requires lots of inputs, like action RPGs or especially FPS shooters, then you're gonna wear down your controller much faster, it's why some people can have their controllers for years and still have no drift while others get drift in a few months. If the latter's your case then the dualsense edge would be more worthwhile in the longer term, since you won't have to be buying a new controller every few months or a year So for some people it can actually save them a lot of money and possibly 3-5 controllers, and we're still a long way before a whole new generation of console comes out so you're gonna be gaming with that controller for a long time

Somewhat random question. The Wolverine sounds most enticing for my use cases: I have a Dualsense so won't miss out on the rumble and triggers, and want to play as many genres of games with it as possible, with a unique emphasis on 2D platformers and shmups. The big question for me is if the dpad on the Wolverine is in a comfortable and accessible position? If so I think the choice is obvious for me since the tactility would be ideal, and I could use it with any other sort of game, and keep the Dualsense for PS5 games. I just fear that I prefer the dpad placement on the Dualsense, so maybe the BFG would be the wiser choice.

I have a fully loaded/custom AimController and the Sony Dualsense Edge as my casual/back-up controller. The dualsense Edge feels solid, looks premium and is plenty fast. It also has unique features like multimedia control buttons and swappable stick modules. I definitly recommend it. The fully decked out AimController is entirely custom designed + entirely mechanical with mouseclick triggers but I just don't feel like it gives me any actual competitive advantage and at the same time it's not as nice for casual playing. Everything being mechanical most likely also means it'll break sooner. The controller is ALOT more expensive than the dualsense edge. Good thing AimController offers lifetime warranty! The downsides to the dualsense edge controller are: Only 2 paddles and you need a PS5 to set it up (as far as I know)

@pustulioyo5 ай бұрын
I got the Victrix because I grew up exclusively owning Nintendo consoles and love playing Super Smash Bros. I decided to start playing MultiVersus and, as a lifelong Smash player, I wanted to get a controller with asymmetrical analog sticks. To me, that is the most important thing when it comes to a controller for playing platform fighters and, yes, it's because that's how Super Smash Bros plays. Because of Ultimate, I have gotten used to the traditional diamond layout for the action buttons and don't miss the GameCube layout, but like I said, the asymmetrical analog stick layout that the GameCube controller has is still 100% necessary. So my choices were basically between the BFG and the Wolverine and the ability to switch between symmetrical and asymmetrical was the deciding factor, the fact it was a full $70 cheaper was simply a bonus. Lol It kills two birds with one stone for me, I can use an asymmetrical layout for most games and swap to the symmetrical layout so I have easier access to the d-pad for retro games. The fightpad is something I'm likely not going to get too much use out of, but the fact that it's included is really awesome! All the buttons are microswitches, they are super clicky and I'm sure a lot of Street Fighter players are going to appreciate it! It's also quite comfortable, it feels remarkably like an Xbox Controller in hand. It's very versatile and of good quality, the Wolverine is built better, but it's definitely on par with the Edge and ScollSense. The only thing that sucks is PDP currently does not offer module and accessory replacements, but something tells me they'll come eventually. And even if they don't, the fact that it has swappable modules opens the door for aftermarket sales and potential third-party options. I guess the software kind of sucks, you have to have a Windows PC to use it, I don't think there's a version for MacOS, iOS, Linux, or Android, but the controller itself is really good, they also make a version for the Xbox and I hope they make a version for Nintendo's next console. Something tells me that's the only reason they haven't made one for the Switch, they're probably knee-deep in the development of controllers for the new console.

I sadly wouldn’t recommend the Victrix controller. I’ve had it since the start of January and it worked like a dream… until I tried to update the software. Trying to update the wireless dongle made it stop working completely and the controller update never finished despite waiting for nearly an hour. Costumer service was hella slow and I’m not even sure it’s worth the effort to get a new wireless dongle. The stick drift has become unbearable in certain games. It also has a tendency to stop working completely in the middle of games which has caused many frustrating and avoidable deaths. When you change the sensitivity of the triggers, it also tends to shut the controller down, leaving me to unplug and plug it back in again. The back buttons are a bit too cramped for my liking and placed in a way that depending on the game, makes them hurt to use over time. Overall: Good at the start, terrible any other time. Not worth. :/

I literally only used 1 PS4 controller for the entire duration of having the PS4 and I’ve never had a problem, but literally within 2 months of using the PS5 controller, I started to get stick drift, which can be easily fixed by opening the controller and cleaning out the stick module The potential problem with having a Scuf PS5 controller is, if there’s stick drift and there will be at some point, it will only cause more issues as the controller is modded and if you open the controller more than likely it will start to damage the modded parts I think in terms of efficiency the PlayStation Edge controller wins, because if you get stick drift, you only need to spend £20 for a stick module and simply replace it
@Darklord_tK Жыл бұрын
Even opening it and cleaning it regularly is only a temporary fix for the daulsense both my ps5 controllers have drift again after a few months the only fix is hall effect sticks but there isn't any available for the ps5 yet I'd even go as far as taking the module from one of my ps4 controllers if I didn't sell them the ds4 was so much better cleaned once and worked fine ever since

@@Darklord_tK I had my PS4 for 7 years with the original controller and a custom controller and I didn’t get any stick drift. I don’t know how, but PS4 controllers were solid. You’re right though, there’s only so many times you’re going to open up the PS5 controller until other parts of it stops working

Edge or Scuf (PS) fs. Sony's Bluetooth tech is insane and especially if you're using it for pro level gaming, they have less latency when wireless than even some wored connections.

Here are my thoughts in order. (Specifically for me playing FPS games such as COD) 1: Xbox Elite Series 2 (Xbox) Pros: -The only one that feels like what you paid for (IMO). Very premium feel, no other controller beats it. can adjust the pressure on the joy stick. You customize sooo much it’s crazy! 4 paddles that are metal 🤘 Cons: stick drift issues alllll the time. 2: Victrix Pro BFG (PS5) Pros: Shape like an elite and the trigger bumpers are a lot faster than the elite controller. 4 paddles (plastic) you can do what the heck you want with the analogs / buttons. Cons: feels very plastic and cheap. no joystick pressure adjustment. 3: Dual sense Edge (PS5) Pros: Premium feel. Has 2 paddles that are metal. can customize a lot. can easily remove the joystick to replace instead of buying a whole new controller. Cons Didn’t like that it only has 2 back paddles. 4: Revolution 5 Pro (PS5) Pros: can play with PS5. Revolution was so bad, I returned the first day. So I don’t have much of a fair review. 🗑 I’ve used others in the past like scuff but that was just a sh*tty experience. Conclusion for me is that the Elite controller is the most comfortable and premium controller that I have ever owned. What controller are you guys using?

Don’t sleep on the Victrix Pro BFG! You can typically get it for around $160+ with a PDP coupon code but as far as the controller goes… it does feel cheap for a pro controller but it just works real well. I like that the joystick tension is in-between being too loose or too tight. It feels good playing FortNite, MW2 and the SF6 demo so far, I’ve had it since the horrendous launch but I love it.

I waited for the DualSense Edge but when it released it was too expensive for me, and it wasn't the best in the features i needed. I bought a real metal back button attachment from ExtremeRate with a clicky trigger mod. I didn't need analog stick replacement because i get a pair of Kontrolfreek from my friend and it's perfect. I have an Astro C40 too, but i think for FPS games the most of the features are gimmicks. Clicky triggers, back buttons (extra programmable buttons) and swappable sticks are necessary.
@WheeledHamster Жыл бұрын
Exactly, the ExtremeRate kit has 4 buttons for an extra $50 and the KontrolFreak has concave hi-rise sticks, this also works outside the PS5. For $200 the Edge has non of these, I consider that thing garbage.
@Xaels Жыл бұрын
@@WheeledHamster microswitch triggers works much better too, it's fast and very good the feedback. The adjustable triggers never works like that. Battery is smaller in the Edge.

If only the dualsense had 4 back paddles, and also, i kinda wished u could switch from mouse triggers to normal, intead of you still having to push down a little when the controller is in the lowest mode, there should be a pro controller where the triggers could switch from mouse to normal and in the middle
@vyvynylification4 ай бұрын
I have a fully custom controller with mouse clicks and all mechanical buttons and then I have the dualsense edge as my casual/back-up controller. To be fair, mouse click triggers are theoretically slightly faster than trigger stops, but I cannot feel the difference in-game and I do prefer the feel of trigger stops. Mouse clicks don't always register if you don't properly press and click

Had this controller for a while now they rushed to put it out there around the exact time the edge dropped. They didn't even have there app up for firmware updates. And fixing stick drift issues. However, the app is up now running smoothly. The controller is light and extremely sensitive. Once you adjust to it it's a game changer. My kd in cod went from a .98 to 1.14. And im still peaking. I took it over the edge because the triggers and extra back buttons. I use it for cod and my beat em up games like Tekken, mortal Kombat, and soul caliber. I use my base duelsense for the PS exclusives that are story driven. This controller is probably the best remote i have ever owned. It's like the swiss army knives of controllers. Just does everything right and has everything you need. The only downside is no haptic feedback. I can live without it. Because for most competitive games you turn all that off anyways. I love this pad man.
