I did autopost straight away and was really pleased for this automated feature. I just watched your video and looked at my Pinterest stats to see if I made a mistake: Impressions up 83%, total audience up 75%, engaged audience up 67% that’s with automated posting from instagram. What’s your definition of a mistake?! Generally I pin more than I Instagram post, but I have energy limiting chronic illness and I find optimised pins are a big stumbling block for my workflow. I end up not publicising something because I don’t have the energy to create a good pin. Now I can do the SEO research and create an instagram post and have that automate to Pinterest and facebook too. Happy days! Also, though I was able to set it up to automate posting to a specific board. Then I occasionally go to that board and move the pins to another relevant board (so presumably absorbing the SEO of the board). It is true that the title is missing but this doesn’t seem to be harming me, presumably because the beginning of the description is rich enough in keywords- though I guess I need to remember to do that when writing on instagram.

Also I’ve been pinning for over a decade and have thousands of pins. Looking at my top pins, 14 out of 20 top pins are ones automated across from Instagram.

Hey that's great that your impressions and audience are up! Most people are not creating SEO rich content originally on Instagram, nor are they taking the time to optimize their auto posted content after it's published. The fact that you're making the effort is great! And of course having chronic illness, I understand that you have to work to optimize your time and energy. If it's working for you, I'd say keep going with it. 💕

@@heybraidenmckee something I’ve been a bit more diligent about lately is and descriptions of the Instagram images as alt text. Obviously this is good practice for accessibility, but I wonder if this content gets carried over to Pinterest?

I don't believe that Alt Text is going to carry over from Instagram to Pinterest. but you can go into the Pin and add it in. Description Should carry over but I have seen where sometimes it doesn't, that may be with longer Instagram captions only (although I can't confirm if that's why the glitch is occurring with auto posting).

I'm a little confused- after claiming, will all future IG posts get uploaded to your pinterest? Or does that not happen to future content if you turn off the auto-publishing from last 90 days feature?

If you turn off auto-publishing, they will Not get uploaded automatically to your Pinterest. But, I believe that's best since Pinterest just saves them to an unorganized ideas section of your profile and there's no keywords or optimization done that way.

I have linked my Instagram account with my Pinterest account and have everything automatically pinned to a secret board. However, my Reels are not being transferred to Pinterest. How can I automatically pin my Reels to my secret board on Pinterest?

Hey! This is a great question. To be honest, I'm not completely sure. The very first thing I'd look at is maybe that it's because you're pinning to a secret board? I'd try setting the board to public and redoing the settings to see if it goes through.
