Hi Austin, In my early twenties, I was focused on organic social media. I started working in PPC almost a year ago and am now 26 years old. I have a very good knowledge of all campaign types and best practices, and I have learned a lot from your channel as well. However, I feel that I lack sufficient experience. I joined an award-winning agency as an intern and have since progressed to a junior role. I have worked on various clients and accounts and tested different strategies. Despite this, I always feel that I will never be good enough in PPC because I started relatively late at 26, while others began earlier and are more experienced. My aim is to master what I do, but I fear that I won't catch up with others and will always lag behind. What would you personally do if you wanted to accelerate your growth and become one of the top 1% PPC specialists, but felt you were behind others? I appreciate your response a lot.
@growmyads4 ай бұрын
You starting at 26 is not late. Also, you can be really good with just a few years of experience. You're already on the right path by continuing to self educate yourself just based off the fact you are commenting on this video. You will succeed. Self learners like yourself who want to continue to push are probably only 10% or less of people in the space. Keep learning and keep testing. Understand more than just ads. Learn business as whole. Find myself keep coming back to your channel! I’ve got a quick question if you don’t mind, since the shift in concise campaigns becoming optimal. I struggle working out how many ad groups I should include. Find myself having 1/2 now but would that be too little for a $200/day campaign? Do you have a go to framework?
@growmyads2 ай бұрын
Just always ask yourself - can I create a better ad for this keyword/search term? If yes, then you are probably safe building an ad group out for. As long as volume is high enough. For example, "emergency plumber" and "plumber". I see these get mixed all the time in audits for plumbers. Emergency plumber should be split into a specific themed ad group around emergency plumbing terms only with emergency plumbing ad copy only and going to an emergency plumbing landing page.

Hi. Great video. How can you find out the ideal cost to set as a max bid for Clicks or Conversions in max clicks or taret cpa bidding strategies?
@growmyads7 ай бұрын
For Max Clicks - you need to look at keyword data. If top of page bids are $20 for a keyword and bottom of page is $10. Then I would set my bid cap to around $12-$15. This allows me to be competitive but not bid too highly. For tCPA - you have to look at what you are currently hitting. For example, if you are getting a $100 CPA on average over last 30 days and you are switching from Max Clicks to CPA bidding then you should set your CPA to $100 or close to $100 (maybe $90 if you want to be more aggressive). Why? Because this is what the Machine Learning has been comfortably hitting so you aren't trying to push it too hard. Then let it run for a week or two and if you are still getting good results and CPAs are still within the target range of $100 you can start slowly decreasing your CPA goal down if you need to get CPA lower.

@growmyads7 ай бұрын
I've actually never tested this since I've never had a client account who only runs for a season and then shuts ads off - more than likely too old but depending on your risk tolerance I'd give it a test for a week or two and see if Google fires good traffic out of the gate.

When you say your campaign should be bringing in 10+ clicks per day, I have a deeper question in regards to that statement So let’s say we have two scenarios of how to different account managers structure the account Let’s say one structures the account by having a dedicated search campaign for each service they offer And another structures the account by having only one search campaign that encapsulates all of their services by Ad groups In this case, would you still hold that rule of 10+ clicks per day per campaign or should it be looked at as 10+ clicks per day for each product or service
@growmyads4 ай бұрын
Same rule applies. You need 10 clicks at campaign level. Since we need the volume at the campaign level. Structure 1: Everything grouped into one campaign - this is ok assuming the services are still related and not vastly different. Structure 2: Splitting each service into separate Campaign - If you have the budget to be able to break out your services into separate campaigns and have daily budgets on each of them to generate 10 clicks per day then more power to you and nothing wrong doing that and is what I would do on larger budget. However, I still would recommend grouping related services into one campaign still.

If you have a smaller budget then you can start with one campaign and then put those categories in different ad groups. Why did you put both phrase and exact match type of the same keyword? Using just the phrase match wouldn't it catch all the search terms that exact is going to catch?
@growmyads8 ай бұрын
Check out this video I did on match types: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppelZo2aj7CNsMk Should help bring some clarity on how match types work now. In short - exact will be tightest match type and I like seeing metrics on exact searches. Doesn't mean I'll keep the exact match keyword forever - only if it is profitable. Phrase will cast a wider net and in many cases behave close to how broad match behaved many years ago. If I only started with phrase would it pick up some of the exact match searches? Yes, but I would not get the amount of traffic on that exact search term as I would when I ping to Google I have it added as exact and want to bid on the exact match of that search. When starting a new campaign (depending on budget) a mix of exact and phrase is usually what I recommend and see best results with. If the budget is very small ($3k per month or under) then I typically will start with exact only until I get data coming in and build out from there.

Bid cap was set higher since I wanted to open up the traffic in the beginning and see what true CPCs would be once I started running and then would adjust if needed.
