What if the account has run ads in the past but had abysmally low conversion data (but a decent amount of impressions and the like), do you still go with the 'Click' or 'Manual CPC' option?

How do you expect this to impact the competition for shopping ads? If I'm no longer running a standard shopping campaign because PMAX has been outperforming, should I expect to see an impact in general shopping competition?

I noticed that most of your CTA’s seem to give people a change to request pricing, request a brochure, etc. But what do you typically recommend as a CTA for a local service business who is looking for customers to call them when they need service. For instance, an HVAC contractor or Electrician?

In the audience audience part, in the case of a bestseller campaign, the first group of resources would I put specific remarketing audiences from that collection, or all website visitors? I think collection-specific remarketing is more beneficial for all site visitors, as the ad can appear to people who visit other products in my store.

It really depends on what the competition is like in your area. If not many competitors are running ads then you'll be fine. If there is a lot of competition than it can get tricky. But if you have the marketing budget absolutely try and get Google Ads to work.

Fantastic advice! Your tips have helped me a lot in scaling my Google Ads from the beginning all the way to maximizing conversions and ROAS 300%. Thank you, Austin, for all the golden tips you're sharing so generously! 🙌 However, I have one question about your video - why aren’t you reporting form submissions where the spend is less than $50 at all? 🤔Wouldn’t it be better to report the whole sales funnel to Google, like this: Interaction -> Website visits Raw leads -> Users who filled out the form Qualified leads -> Users who spent more than $50/day Converted leads -> Users who became paying customers? This way, Google would get the full picture of the funnel and optimize more effectively. This way, Google would get the full picture of the funnel and that could help its algo to optimize more effectively towards CONVERTED leads that are your goal. Do you have experienced how Google algo works with reporting Qualified leads, Converted leads?

Reporting the whole sales funnel isn't really necessary in my case. Otherwise, yes, you can go this route and try to do a value based bid strategy. However, I am able to get enough volume of jus 'Yes' leads that I prefer to just keep it simple. Value based bidding is super hard to dial in.

I have fully setup offline conversions tracking and reporting to Google Ads via API, but in last two months only 90 % of converted leads are "matched" (accepted) by Google... Even though Google says that this is excellent, I do not agree, since real net profit and net profit that Google sees after matching are different, so it is hard to me to set ROAS... :(

Loved your video, it was incredibly helpful! I'm curious about your funnel strategy for display and search landing pages. Do you use the same funnel for both? I'm not entirely clear on how improving the conversion quality for search impacts the funnel or algorythm. I guess if you use the same landing page the algorythm would improve but that wouldn't impact paying for search ads to prospects who wouldn't qualify would it? Thanks.

How would you move one large performance max campaign that has run over years with a lot of data into smaller campaigns, would you slowly exclude products out or would you run in addition? I have a campaign that’s 5+ years old but it needs to be split out to scale

Thanks. I though you don't need to add cities into your negatice keywords rather you should add your target location so that only people on that location can see your ads.

Yea you should do that as well, but you'll still want to keep an eye out on people searching for out of areas. Not as bad of an issue in smaller cities, but when you are in a large city you'll get some searches for people looking elsewhere (multiple home owners, people searching on behalf of family or friends out of state etc...)

This change levels the playing field between Performance Max and Standard Shopping campaigns-now it's all about ad rank, not automatic priority. If you're running both, double-check your bid strategies, especially with dormant campaigns. Great news for those who prefer more control in Standard Shopping!

This course is truly valuable, just what I've been searching for, especially since it's completely free. I want to ask you for advice: my account has been active for over 2 months now, with 15 purchase conversions. For a Performance Max campaign, when I haven't yet reached 50 conversion events in 30 days, should I go ahead with a Performance Max campaign or just stick to standard Shopping and Search campaigns? For a luxury e-commerce store with brands like LV and Dolce & Gabbana, here are some quick tips: Campaign Structure: Use Performance Max for broad reach and Standard Shopping for control over specific products. Segment campaigns by brand or price range if possible. Number of Campaigns: Aim for 2-4 Shopping campaigns based on brand or pricing, and add a Search campaign for high-intent keywords. Daily Budget: Start with $300+ per day and adjust based on performance. Search Ads with P.Max: Running Search Ads alongside P.Max can enhance visibility, especially for brand terms. Hope this helps!

I have 3 different p max all different countries is that bad too ? google ad rep told me to do Presence or interest: People in, regularly in, or who've shown interest in your targeted locations" to "Presence: People in or regularly in your targeted locations" which should prevent your ads from serving outside of targeting locations. should i do it ?

​@@growmyads I was just wondering If I am running feed only pmax campaign for budget around 200-300 $ for 3 campaigns my troas i set up is 100-130% for all of them should i just remove troas from all of them but all 3 of them have got me more than 100 conversions just super confused seeting a troas doesnt spend all budget doesnt keep me that profitable just break even or maybe 10-20 dollar profit

I do think that this could be awesome for using pMax as a catch-all and take advantage of the power pMax has with retargeting at a much more aggressive ROAS - I think it's super interesting...

@@growmyads I've always wanted to find a way to run pMax in conjunction with shopping (without cannibalization) - pMax is awesome for retargeting - taking that warm, bottom of funnel traffic and converting it and then shopping is awesome at cultivating cold top of funnel traffic. Would be freakin amazing if we could get a pMax search report (in app no scripts) and portfolio bidding and then I think we got a winner - maybe Google can find a way to dig themselves out of the 2024 mega hole they created - sheesh - what a year! Oh and bring back UA ;) cos GA4 is trash... I could do some 1955 if you ask me...
