I was so, so fortunate to grow up in their era. I was 16 entering 1965 - the year this soul-wrenching performance appeared on Ed Sullivan. My reaction a moment ago was exactly the same as yours - hand and fingers on my head, trying to hold back tears of the joy of their great performance. Their music is deep within me, and many of my generation. We got some things right in our musical tastes, and they have endured for almost 60 years.

G'Day Twon. I'm glad you have come back to reacting to more of The Righteous Brothers. Bass is the word for "deep" singers. Bill sings bass-baritone and Bobby sings counter tenor, which is higher than tenor. This song is from the musical, "Carousel." Another song that I'm sure you would love to hear by the duo is, "Soul And Inspiration". They also do a fun, improvised song, "What I'd Say" with Andy Williams on his TV show. I think that it may have been the same show where Bobby sang, "Unchained Melody." Bobby does a heart-wrenching solo of, "Stay With me Baby." These three songs are on video on You Tube. I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions and pressing the "like" button. Oo-roo!

Listen to the audience reaction at the end. This duo was opening for the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. The crowd was mostly young women who could drown out any act. The Righteous Bros. kept the crowd calmish with a masterful rendition of an almost spiritual song.

Great reaction.I like the live version a lot. Like it better than the studio version. I think the live version shows their vocals a lot better than the studio recording. If you can you should check out the original done by the great Roy Hamilton. He was one of Elvis's favorite singer. And was a big influence on Elvis. Here's a guy that should get reacted to but sadly isn't if you want to hear an incredible gospel operatic powerhouse of a voice.Just a few of his songs Don't let go. You can have her his version of unchained Melody recorded in early 1955 EbbTide So let there be Love which I think is one of his most beautiful recordings. listen to any of these songs or any of his other songs I guarantee you or anybody his will blow you the #@$& away✌️
