This story was actually entitled, "The Teeth of Baghdad" (the more obvious the pun, the better), and originally seen on "THE BULLWINKLE SHOW" in 1962.

"Spanky MacFarland" {1:39} is a reference to the famous "star" of Hal Roach's "Our Gang" {aka "The Little Rascals"} comedies in the mid and late '30s; the line at 4:33 refers to General Sherman's famous statement during the Civil War: "War is Hell".

Perhaps Pres. Bush saw this cartoon and thought that Baghdad, so close to the sea, would be easy to get to. The simple, uninformed people would be easy to overtake, especially when ruled by a goofy cow. Im sure when Pres Bush saw that the Phoenicians overtook the country in 10 seconds, he thought the mighty American Army could do even faster. So . . . what became of Americas Operation Iraqi Freedom?

Phoenicians were ancestors of modern Lebanese & Maltese. They traded with the Britons long before Julius Caesar invaded Britain. They were the Philistines of the Bible. Hannibal was a Phoenician.
