Full Tilt Poker was launched in 2004 and quickly became one of the biggest poker stires in the world with many poker pros being the face of the company like Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, Chris Ferguson, Gus Hansen and many others. But problems started to arise for Full Tit Poker from 2007 leading to the eventual shutdown of Full Tilt Poker after Black Friday on April 15 2011.Later this came to be known as one of the biggest scams in poker and many called Full Tilt Poker a Ponzi scheme. This is a poker documentary about the rise and fall of Full Tilt Poker and the end of poker rail heaven.

Everyone could find a game for his skill and play comfortable. I did not get the same feeling even from PokerStars software. Since then no online poker software could come even close to Full Tilt.

Full Tilt will always be special to me. Granted I was a teenager and never played for real money, but I did win a few 600 man tournaments. I honestly never knew what exactly happened to it and now I will never look at Ferguson the same way.

Being able to watch Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and Tom Dwan play at the same table every night was amazing. That accessibility will never be duplicated again. Their commercials were excellent too, the Phil Ivey one where he says “I’m playing the same game they are...well, almost” was phenomenal. The Dwan one was superb as well.

I played there and made more on the side playing PLO than I did at my full time job. Rakeback pros was a huge weekly boost, Iron Man bonuses and decent rakeback in the form of FTPS was a huge boost to win rates. Great high stakes games for the railbirds and there was always action on tables on any day and any time.

How the hell is he let out on a $40 million bond because of heart problems? First, where did the money come from when you couldn't pay your debts to begin with? Second, if you're sentenced to 65 years you are supposed to die in prison. Unless you live long enough to serve your sentence. This was all about greed. It didn't have to happen. The main problem was that they made it sound like player funds were held securely, like in escrow. Instead they were using an algorithm to determine average player cash-outs and deposits per day; and only held a small amount over what they needed to cover that. The rest was paid to owners. It was a Ponzi scheme, plain and simple. If they'd have just been satisfied with profiting from rake and fees -and interest from deposits, they'd still be operating.

generally enjoy a lot of the summaries put out on this channel, feel like this one was quite rushed. It was really a roller coaster playing for a living on full tilt. You never knew when checks were coming, for over a year prior to black friday, the process of getting our account money back was crazy, and yet at the same time it's tough to explain just what a poker boom it was during the full tilt days. If you were on tv for even a few seconds wearing a patch, they would give you 5 or 10k. The amount of opportunities to win easy money was insane. Look at some of the monthly bonuses people were getting as being red pros. Look into the craziness that happened with Eric Lindgren during this time. Look at how much Guy lost to what would soon become all of the big name online pros. Was a really wild time and I think this video misses a lot of the content going on with FTP.

Having poker players invent a poker site that rakes sounds like a poor idea from the get go. They’re still gamblers at the end of the day and there will always be a certain level of back room bull****. Where there’s gambling, there’s sneaky shit no matter how professional it seems

Full Tilt... I have a Full Tilt Poker T-shirts with some money and a marker chip, I won in a tournament. My T-shirts says I knocked out a pro! But I think that is B.S. It was too low stakes for a real pro to play in. I lost the chip, spent the money, but still have the T-shirts. I didn't lose much money on "Black Friday". Less than $50. I got most of my money out before "B.F." I knew it was coming. And knew it would be hard to get your money out. So I just kept $50 to play in small stakes. Honestly, I only played small stakes anyway. They mentioned Bodog, which sucked when it rebranded as Bovada. But I liked playing at Bodog more than Full Tilt. Aww.... The salad days of online poker. It was fun while it lasted.

i agree, i have the same shirt etc. I always wondered if the red players were actually the pros... or in house players. Remember all the drama on the micro tables? The daily beggers thinking the pros liked them, i still remember a few. Steve Wong was one so called pro that sat on penny cash tables and many thought he liked them. That table was always verbally abusive etc lmao

@byron2521 I tried to pull some money out a few months before every thing happened. They gave me the runaround saying they could not see my I.D. I sent them my I.D. three times, shortly after that other people were saying they could not get money out either. I was only trying to take out about 300.00 by "Black Friday" I only had about 150.00 left. I never got any money from full Tilt and when Poker Stars took over I never heard from them nor did I even hear they were paying back people from their Full Tilt accounts. After all these years...I still want my money. LOL
