Tbf it can be very confusing as the Shadow, if your target in nearby the glowing trail circles them to show the safe perimeter, but if they get too far away it points towards where they've gone. So if you've been tazed and when you get up you don't see your mark, it's fair to assume they've abandoned you and that you'll need to chase them down. Especially if that person in question is Zoey.

The house of Zoe was a good one, 3 generations, from Queen, to vengeful wielder of the dark arts, to a lowly standard bearer, all ending in an attempted coup to "cast out the old ways" which ironically cast out the house of Zoe. A tragic tale that teaches us to... fear red matter bombs I guess?

10:40 A tip for Rythian from a DM with players like this, and a player like this. Most of the time they aren't trying to be assholes, but I've had one too many DMs use a monologue as a way to give the other side some form of advantage, so I'm less cool with just letting villains monolgue. As a DM, I have my villains monologue from a safe distance, either using Project Image or from a few rooms over. Saves anybody from feeling cheated, player and DM alike.
