I know that this is an old video but I hope by now this dude is aware the M. Night Shyamalan has re-risen. His movies are awesome, especially the thrillers. In my opinion he never fell in the first place. Cheers! 🥂

Yeah, I made this video back when his name was very much tarnished and I wasn’t hearing anything positive being said about him at the time. Having seen him start off so high is what made me curious enough to make these videos, plus the clear downward trajectory his approval was having. Now seeing that he’s made hits like The Visit and Split, and also misses like Glass and Old, M Night doesn’t really have any trajectory or occupy one extreme or the other anymore. At least for right now

Well... are we witnessing another steady rise again? 'The Visit' and 'Split' have put him on the map again..and maybe... the upcoming 'Glass' could make him a studio-favorite again!

Saw your whole series on M. Night--really enjoyed it. You did forget Stuart Little though, which was written by M. Night.

Jason Guinn Glad you enjoyed it, and Yeah I mainly stuck to films that played certain important moments in his career. I had heard about him writing Stuart Little (which surprised me) and co-writing She's All That (which surprised me even more) but I left them out because he's not well remembered for either and they don't speak much to his career as a whole, hence why I included Devil (which was only a story credit) since it was his first involvement since the Airbender movie.
