I believe that Yasuke was a pawn in a bigger game between the missionaries and Nobunaga so that Nobunaga could foster trade with the Europeans to get his hands on Guns to help him unify Japan. Yes, Yasuke existed, there are records of it and he fought with Nobunaga, but after the death of Nobunaga, Yasuke just disappeared. We know that he was returned to the Jesuit missionaries but, there are no historical records of what happened to him after he left Japan... supposedly.

Akechi Mitsuhide didn't regard Yasuke as a samurai or a bushi. Yasuke is still a black slave to him, saying "the cafre (black slave) is like an animal and knows nothing, and he's not Japanese so don't kill him".

That’s completely incorrect. Yasuke was of no use, other than carrying luggage. At that time, Japan was the world’s largest producer and possessor of guns. In the battle with Takeda Shingen in 1575, Oda Nobunaga used 3,000 guns to crush his enemy. Takeda Shingen also used 1,000 guns. This was the world’s largest gun battle at the time. All of these were made in Japan, and they were even improved for rapid fire. Even the shogun was mistaken about this, but Japan did not need many foreign-made guns at that time. They wanted new weapons.
