The pac made the right choice with these four schools. There's more number like market and attendance that support teams like Fresno and Boise over Memphis and Tulane but even on the field results skew towards them. The only other g5 that stacks up to Boise and Fresno is Air Force with a decent media market too. UNLV and UTSA are both programs on the rise with huge media markets and recuiting pools too. In a what have you done for me lately type of way Tulane and Memphis should definitely be tha pac 12s top priotities along with UNLV, UTSA, and Air Force. Conference titles since 2000: Boise: 13 Fresno: 4 San Diego: 3 Colorado St: 2 Winning seasons since 2000: Boise: 24 Fresno: 17 San Diego: 12 Colorado St: 10 10+ Seasons since 2000 Boise: 17 Fresno: 6 San Diego: 5 Colorado St: 3 Bowl wins since 2000 Boise: 12 Fresno: 9 San Diego: 6 Colorado St: 4 # of times Made the top 25 since 2000: Boise: 19 Fresno: 10 Colorado St: 5 San Diego: 4 All time conf. Tulane will prob get an ACC nod in the next big realignment process. Geographically wouldn’t make sense for tulane to join a less prestigious conference in the west. Either they get that or the SEC which is unlikely. Realistically the next SEC targets would be Clemson, FL State, Miami, and Virginia Tech. I don’t see any NC teams leaving the ACC anytime soon
@xfacta3343 ай бұрын
Looking at whats out there you got: UNLV, Wyoming Tulane, Memphis, Tulsa, UTSA, Rice, UAB Liberty, UTEP Texas St, App St, Ga St, Troy Buffalo, Toledo, NIU, Ohio The 3 Service Academies And whatever is left after the ACC collapses. Decent options for what this conference is gonna be. (No USF or UConn because they're probably going to the B12 sometime soon)

Fortune favors the bold. No longer is the PAC 2 wondering alone in the wilderness. With the addition of Utah State, plus Boise State, Fresno State, Colorado State, and the San Diego State University, then there were 7. One short of the magic number of 8 for full NCAA conference membership status. It’s a good time to be in the PAC. A prospect, one year ago, that seemed like only a distant possibility pipe dream. Never quit. The PAC moves forward as it has for over 108 years.

Regionality? The current PAC 12 could stay regional if they convince the other non power conference to make regionality a focus and they all sign a contract to not sign with any of the current “power 4” conferences for the next 15 years. Also all the Non power 4 conferences should form an additional college playoff and championship that is separate from the current CFP.

Also, the 2 members left over, Wazzu and OSU will definitely get the last laugh. I'm a Husker alum and fan, and these Big 10 wannabes are just cringe on a whole new level. Tanking 100 years worth of tradition just to go and get paid to get obliterated by a conference you are not part of, not in proximity to, nor fitting in with the style of play, all for the Almighty Dollar. Pathetic... Both of these schools have a much better shot at a G5 auto bid, than those 4 joke schools will ever have now. Plus, they get to split all that money they won in the lawsuit, and build the future. So yeah, I rest my case. They get the last laugh. So glad to see the Cougars get that win on Saturday.

What I truly wish is for the Pac-12 to always remain a geographical conference and honor that tradition. Merge with the Mountain West, get New Mexico State, get UTEP, and become a fun geographically Western Conference.

No. First off, there is a Mountain East Conference in DII. Do the Mountain West really want to remove it's stories history because they can merge with a conference? Besides, maybe the Mountain West can still get even better.

@@gs4395 With how college football is going these conferences are going to have to make very difficult decisions that they should not be making. I think that a reverse merger with the Mountain West would have been better and less hypocritical. The PAC-2 cannot wail and say that they've gotten left behind but is raiding another conference leaving Wyoming behind. I also dislike this talk of persuading the Nevada State Legislature to break up UNLV and Nevada when Oregon and Washington did the same thing to them.

North Dakota State and South Dakota State will not join the FBS unless you get all four of the FCS Dakota schools. @M_11_m41n3 ай бұрын
@@gs4395 And there's another issue with that. The Missouri Valley Football Conference and the Missouri Valley Conference are two separate entities under the same banner when it comes to sports. Not only would the four Division 1 Dakota schools have to pay to get out of that conference and pay to move up to the FBS as well, but they would also have to conversate with the actual conference that they and all of their non-football sports are actually affiliated to, The Summit League.
