But the songs that aren't ballads feel like og 3DG

@@AA-wu2fk i just mentioned that cuz it puts it in perspective. This video talks about how that album sucks and most ppl think its too soft. But if your reference point for soft/heavy is on the heavier side, then you're not really gonna notice those subtle differences that this youtuber and most 3DG fans noticed that make Life Starts Now feel softer than their previous work. By comparison to the heavier stuff all 3DG sounds soft, even the heavy 3DG. So unlike this videos narrator, I always liked Life Starts Now cuz it was just *more* Three Days Grace. Amazing video really, I loved yours word you said at the ending "throw some love at Saint Asonia instead of hating on Matt" Personally I'm a big Adam fan but I still enjoy TDG music, what you said about Transit of Venus is true, it was basically Adam's personal f#ck you note on their record label and the band at the time. Unfortunately this trend of making record labels happy continues with Matt, but I must say Human was actually an good album in my opinion but yeah.. then came Outsider and this album was like an transition period for the band between actually making good music and just making radio friendly songs, and Explosions was just the confirmation on what path they decided to take, don't get me wrong Explosions was far better than Outsider but both of these albums are soulless, and I don't even see any blink of hope for things to change because both Outsider and Explosions were produced by the same team producers even the same studio except for the fact that all of band members had to record their parts at their own houses because covid, and Neil [drummer of TDG] created his own record label with these producers so I guess their music will just stay the same. PS. Only thing you got wrong in your video is the fact you said Adam hated Life Starts Now, that's not true Adam hated Transit Of Venus, the reason their debut album and One-X were so good was the raw, unfiltered emotions Adam put into his lyrics on these albums, debut album was about their lives, growing up in a small town, 1X was mostly written by Adam when he was on his rehab, co he wrote about all the things that haunted him during that time, but LSN didn't had any drama behind it. Long time ago I saw a comment on the internet that LSN is just a clean version of 1X and I couldn't agree more with that statement, but still it wasn't that bad.

I vehemently disagree with your opinion on Life Starts Now. That is my favorite TDG album. It's got a thinner bass sound and is less heavy but it has the most song variety out of every album. You've got faster tracks like Break, deep songs such as Last To Know and Someone Who Cares, and positive songs like Lost In You and The Good Life. Transit of Venus was just commercial crap, and "solely made for the money" as Adam would later admit. As for Matt Walst I liked him quite a bit in My Darkest Days but in Three Days Grace his voice is WAAAY too light. He's also not a very good songwriter compared to Adam. "I couldn't stop at the red light, the red light stop at the red light, you're just like a car crash and I can't look away" .....I mean WHAT? Even I have to admit there's a few good songs per album though (Painkiller, Infrared, Right Left Wrong, So Called Life), just not enough to justify him as a singer for what used to be one of my favorite high school bands.
