The undisputed GOAT of Runescape content creators. Not often you can call out a single #1 in a community as big as this, but it's not really even a question. I think I can speak for many people who started playing RS in the early 2000's and don't have enough time to actually play now and watching people like B0aty really keeps the nostaligia alive. Just seems like an all around great person and the world needs more people like that.

@@whynotp2p His One Man Army series basically created the concept of what now is known as Ironman gameplay, which is the essence of some of the biggest youtube channels and most watched content. His series was the proof of concept needed to show that intentionally restricting your account actually made for great content that people would watch. Half a year later Jagex ran with it as Ironman mode and implemented actual mechanics allowed you to do that, and then the player base took it even further by creating a plethra of snowflake accounts and series. To say that he has completely and fundamentally changed the game is not an overstatement!

B0aty was actually my first introduction to OSRS youtube content, and his HCIM was a huge inspiration to get into the game back in 2017. I'm bad so lost the HC status ages ago, but my ironman reached 2k total level earlier this year. Been subbed since I found him and still watch his vids regularly. I think the thing that helped him build such an audience is not just his humility, but self-deprecating sense of humour, many times due to the courtesy of being ginger. Despite being among the most capable players in the game across practically all game modes, when he suffers misfortune or makes a mistake, he doesn't try to save face or get seriously angry, he's a very down-to-earth dude who is a bit eccentric yet quite relatable, and it's the perfect combination of traits in my opinion to find success on a platform like Twitch and KZbin. I loved one man army to bits. I had just earlier cameback from years of hiatus to osrs and i was playing "solo" (as i called it back then) enjoying the idea i was doing everything myself and only buying big bulk things like elemental runes, sand and seaweed etc. From GE... Then boaty came to do it better than me. I loved his way of thinking and knowledge of the game. His strats were so much things i never thought to think of.. solo mission is another person like boaty I love for the way of thinking outside box. I hope boaty never loses his positive vibes.

Fun fact about me right around the beginning of OSRS I used to watch B0aty’s streams and then he started playing CSGO whicv I honestly was upset about but eventually I became enamoured by the game and ended up spending 3k hours in CSGO the only game I’ve played more is OSRS sitting at around 4600 hours spread over 2 accounts. But not only did he get me into CSGO, he also made me meet my friends online, first I met my friend of over 8 years now which I never would have met without B0aty’s influence, and the fact that I started playing CSGO led to me trying other FPS games like Overwatch where I met another of my friends, and both friends brought their own friends too, and I got these 2 different groups together and now we’re a group of 11+ people that talk to each other regularly. TL;DR B0aty got me into FPS and made me meet almost all my friends.

Great video Kemp. B0aty is the GOAT of RS for me. Now, I wouldn't necessarily say he is the GOAT in terms of raw skill. But I also think he could be if he focussed on any one area as his natural talent is insane. The man plays on effectively base client, don't forget and solo'd ToB on it. But regardless, he is the all-around GOAT for me. So many other big RS streamers have attributed their success to him. For example, Faux.
