Unilever is a Dutch-British transnational consumer goods company co-headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands and London, United Kingdom. Its products include food, beverages, cleaning agents and personal care products.
Unilever owns over 400 brands, with a turnover in 2016 of over 50 billion euros, and thirteen brands with sales of over one billion euros: Axe/Lynx, Dove, Omo, Becel/Flora, Heartbrand ice creams, Hellmann's, Knorr, Lipton, Lux, Magnum, Rama, Rexona/Degree, Sunsilk and Surf. During the second half of the 20th century the company increasingly diversified from being a maker of products made of oils and fats, and expanded its operations worldwide.

Sounds like a big company promoting restrictive regulations, with the help of government, to limit competition from smaller players while appearing to be altruistic. The public is none the wiser so long as key words are used - sustainable, clean, green, etc.

lol you're acting like its going to be impossible to buy anything but Unilever. Especially in America its so easy to get local or national smaller players, but most ppl don't buy them because they're an extra few dollars, who's being altruistic now 😂. Also if they're trying to help the environment and improve foreign workers lives, I hope more ppl buy their products to send a message on how to run a 2018 corp.....

A company has no responsibiity. It is a legal entity on paper. The responsibility belongs to specific individuals, such as the CEO, the board, the secretary, the lawyer, etc. Each of these SOBs need to be fried on the stakes before "companies" get it. More on.

Virat Chhikara Indeed. Yet, it is what it is. It's not even a secret for the companies. Unilever (the Lever part) is a 100% direct descendant from the Anglo-Dutch "VOC". As is ING, which was the part of the VOC company that handled the financial part (stocks and bonds). Homework assignment: Google the ING headquarters building. It's shaped as a 17th century merchant ship, exactly like the ones used by the VOC. Pretty subtile. ;) There are various clues in this video as well, like, where Lever was active in Indonesia (East India to Dutch) with palm oil and soy. Historically, all kinds of spices and oils came from that region to Europe through the Dutch part of the VOC. Lever just continued to utilize the existing trade infrastructure with the same products...

Right now there are Coronovirus cases in the Independence/ Kansas City Missouri plant yet Unilever is still forcing their employees to come to work. They hired 4 or 5 non experienced temp workers to clean up a facility that's thousands of square feet. They claimed to have done this in less than 24hrs. They also hired non medical Temp workers to take our temperature. This will result in many infections. This is sad
