Another great mention in regards to this wonderful genre is Equilibrium, yes it's a little more cheesy than some of the best ones on this list but it's what I personally define as Gun-fu.

Played MFP years ago and thought it was fine. I had it on the original notes but decided to leave it out in place of other titles because it would become too long lol. Never played Rollerdrome tho. If I ever do a Part 2 years later I could definitely cover them

Things are looking good for upcoming games. But sadly tho.. Slowmo bullet ballet movies are very rare nowadays. John wick films barely use slowmo & shootdodge. Nowadays i think only mathew vaughn's films has that kind of style. Hopefully we will get a john woo inspired film in the future. Im hopeful about that

I really like Max Payne 3 but oh man that game's restrictions is the epitome of "QUIT HAVING FUN!!!" Unskippable slog cutscenes, plot convenience, and a severely restricted arsenal. What do I mean by the latter even if it has dozens of gun varieties? There are little to no Berettas in any of the later missions. One of the objectively only good weapons in the game stops existing in the later levels mostly involving UFE. Great video though, it's rare to find someone talking in depth about the John Woo type action games.

Terrific video through and through. Really enjoyed this. Even the critiques were on point. It’s difficult to overstate just how influential gun fu is with modern action video games and film. Woo is the GOAT. Subbed.

Got some elements to it definitely but idk I see it more as a straight open world action game with a stealth focus. But gatekeeping/categorizing games into genres is always debatable
