*He is not supposed to be just a Asian meme. He is greatest example of Amercian dream ever. * His parents are poor imagrant from undeveloped country (South Korea at that time), and He was abused by his father using gun. But after cop killed his father, He joined Navy SEAL and He served as an officer in battle, saved countless comrades, and made a contribution in the deadliest battle. He is awarded the second highest decoration in the United States and becomes a war hero. And he get degree of medical doctor of Harvard University because he was guilty of not saving more lives in the war. And NASA choose him to become an Astronaut to go to the Moon. His entire life is freaking American dream.

Agreed. But just a technical note, he served as an enlisted man in battle. He became an officer later, after completing his B.S. in Mathematics at USD, then went to Harvard med school, became a Flight Suregon, then the Astronaut Corps, and recently earned his pilot Wings of Gold. So all his time as an officer has not be on the battlefield. (nothing wrong with that, just wanted to clarify) He is the epitome of the American Dream.

@@josephhakkim8389you are incorrect. Jonny Kim was born in 1984 in Los Angeles. South Korea was not a rich country in the 80’s and even to this day there are many poor Koreans. The 80’s was quite turbulent times for South Korea. There is a lot of controversy related to the 1988 Olympics. Many poor areas had their homes torn down to make room for Olympic athletic event arenas. LA Riots happened in 1992 also when Jonny was just 8 years old.

@YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech3 ай бұрын
@@gavins9846 Anyone can break the cycle, embrace the principle of never becoming a abuser like the people who abused you. It's hard at a young age to try and be independent, but understanding right and wrong and being firm in your choice provides power. Accepting life as it is, but accepting that you have the capability to learn from anyone and create your own code of conduct is how you raise yourself. This is a lot of work compared to having someone teach you, but in the end. You do not need to worry about a bad role model setting you up for failure. It's a lonely path, but it has it's own benefits as well.
