11:10 If you're a patron at a bar, you don't clean up the puke there. Just pointing out the obvious. That's a total non-sequitur... well unless one of the navy seals was the owner of the bar somewhere in San Diego in which case, lol that's amusing to say the least. _"I can't run a bar, help me clean up puke because my bouncers despite all my training can't be trained properly"_ ... what kind of unit are you running there son? I don't know which SEAL or which SEAL's family member or fake SEAL owned that bar but... if they're getting a Navy Seal to clean up puke in their own failing bar's bathroom, well you should probably find out which democrat senator it is. Maybe that would be a little more important ??? huh ? LOL about the only other "REASONABLE EXPLANATION" at the time might be if "Hunter Biden" just happened to be in San Diego and got into a bar fight LOL haha Hunter Biden's personal protection detail haha omfg lol.

I listen to your podcast daily and love listening/watching these clips. I served in the Navy from 05-13 and enjoyed every part of it. The hardest part for me was leaving my daughter when she was 4. When I left for boot she whispered in my ear are you going to get those bad people from TV? She watched the news with me that morning. Currently I deal with issues from my service, injuries, metal issues too.

As an Enlisted Operator & later an Officer in EOD, my GREATEST fear was taking a team into a high threat area or combat and one of the guys getting killed. The fear was driven by the fact I would, one day, have to face the family. Fortunately, the worst was some slight injuries. It was a blessing from God as far as I am concerned.

I was blessed to meet then get to know Chris Kyle. He and Mark Spicer got involved with the Law Enforcement Swat Sniper community. We were at a conference & competitive shoot in the Tampa area quite a number if years back. One evening the three of us were at a Tilted Kilt restaurant and the drinking began. Good grief, we put the beers down. The next morning I was up & at em for the days conference presentations. Chris & Mark were not around until almost noon. When I saw them they were back slapping me saying what a great drinker I was. They were still as green as I felt. Two of the greatest guys I have ever been blessed to be friends with. Chris's death was a tremendously sad day for our community.

I'll never understand why Chris Kyle felt the need to lie about multiple things. A cook in the navy does more then most Americans. You should look into some of the symptoms of mental abuse and PTSD. It's pretty well known at this point that individuals that suffer from PTSD often times commit to pathological lying. It's also known that some that suffer from mental abuse or PTSD can often times become more straight forward or blunt when speaking to others. This can be viewed as being an "asshole" to people on the receiving end because it's not seen as being very tactful. I'm not saying this was the case with Chris because I'm not a Dr nor have I ever read any Drs notes about Chris. But I am saying that some of the things you've pointed out are often times symptoms of people suffering from PTSD which Chris was diagnosed with. According to his wife, Chris showed many signed of PTSD in that he screamed in his sleep, couldn't relax as a civilian, drank heavily, gots into fights, and hungered for more military service. Before passing judgment on Chris, like so many have, also take into consideration that some of the stories that he told may have been a result of diagnosed mental illness caused by years of heavy combat and personal sacrifice.
@rhymetimeuk
@rhymetimeuk Жыл бұрын
@@Danlovestrivium this is a good reply. I would just state that taking a case all the way to court, and not having people in his corner providing some reality to him was a failure of someone. I know Chris did the country a great duty, but he definitely did not do the right thing with that case, and people did not help him sufficiently.

What Kyle and the SEAL community did to Jesse Ventura was despicable. You are absolutely right that Ventura is a bit much and the guy is pretty much a walking meme. But to make up such a disgusting lie about another veteran and then have other SEALs back it up, that was the turning point for me when I lost most respect for SEALs. And then as time went on you have Marcus Lutrell, Rob O'Neil, and all these other glory hounds selling their stupid books and movie scripts and its all bullshit. Our government truly is evil. Theres no way around it. They are scum. And our DOD is led by incompetent bureaucrats in uniforms who only care about their careers and would see the United States turn into a caricature of Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union rather than just be forthcoming and tell the truth.

@josh baker 0 but hazing in any part of life is productive up to a point. Then it becomes negative like picking on someone. I don't need to be a Navy Seal to know this. It's called life experience. This could be a part of playing sports, or in the army when you arrive at your new command and join the team, or at your new sheriff's office at a probationary dep. Yes you have to earn your place and do the new guy shit, but the way this dude sounded it was not a good experience to have to do the job he was doing, and your family, you're own mental health plus be hazed by your boss all the time. Making you go to the bar for like a week or two is cool every night? Not cool.

I have a question? I was a Sniper myself and I felt like I was demoted the way I went through my training. I went through US Marksmanship unit, my first deployment I was with these guys but a Designated Marksmen. When I got home I was sent to better schools, civilian school’s where I was taught the skills I learned along the way. Chris Kyle has how many bronze & silver stars? why? If I remember Central Intelligence agency give us the blue prints on how to go into Afghanistan? We should’ve never set foot in Iraq yet we did. I went through basic training with guys that we’re going for special forces training and I could care less. I was a guy that b backed them up many in many cases. I saw friends die and yet this guy gets a movie for being able to shoot in a environment. It was not that difficult say Vietnam would’ve been. We had Iran Quds backing us in Afghanistan and become our enemy providing IED’s and EFP’s. Not that I’m trying to take away from what the Seal Teams did but Green Berets were using IED’s we learned how they worked against Quds in OND because our puppet president in Iraq went on to say we couldn’t touch an enemy that trained and had more American blood on it than the Iraqi military. Chris Kyle was one man and he did a hell of a job. He didn’t die jumping on a grenade. I have PTSD, lost a marriage, and got onto drugs the Army and then the VA pumped up the MG’s. I don’t regret anything I’ve done and seen many countries. I wasn’t using Crystal Meth like the SEAL community was accused of and our medics and I don’t blame them b/c I had to use go pills on many a mission. Giving pilots that shit killed American pilots caused a man to kill Americans in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan where the pilot thought the soldiers were Taliban and Al Qaeda. I got my awards that are on the wall and I’m proud of them. Kyle was under SEAL Team 3 that was the Middle East. All this BS of command running daylight missions is higher command and helping the US conventional Army in an area where they didn’t have the manpower as far as Green Berets only having 10 Men on a team. The SEAL teams we worked with were good but were not used to running around in a desert for 6 month deployments. They did well inserting into countries like Somalia and getting Americans out of a bad situation. Tora Bora, Baghdadi, Saddam’s sons were all taken part by US Army. The Air Force impressed me more than anyone. That never got its notoriety.

it's so freaking weird hearing a junior sailor call his chief by his first name... and all the other guys too... as a former squid me and my Chief were on a first name basis... he called me Jason... and I called him CHIEF
@nocapbussin

My chief was one of my best friends, and off duty or behind closed door we were on a first name basis. All of us were. But as soon as we were in front of others, it was back to "Chief". We were able to do that because he knew we respected him and he knew that we'd never fuck him over or lie to him and when we fucked up, we owned it and handled it at the LPO level so he never dealt with any headaches and drama. That was true brotherhood. We all knew our jobs, we all did our jobs, and we all trusted eachother to have eachothers backs and do our jobs. My Chief passed away 3 years ago, but even after he retired, we kept in contact on the regular up until he passed.

@@Budrob998 Cook e3 gets paid the same as a seal e3. This is a law enacted by G.W. Bush . Not debatable. During the war anyone deployed in a hazardous place would be paid a hazard pay. My only thing about Chris Kyle is that he's a known and proven liar...It's hard to get that out of my mind and see him as a hero. Also, isn't it weird that a lot of people on this show can't remember normal details about situations. That might not be lying though...it could be an ego thing though and don't want to show weakness...but it is a similarity on a lot of these stories.
