My wife went out & got a second job to help out the household. Because when I advised that I was going to have to get another job to cover extra expenses, she took a couple days & took note how much I did around the house on top of a 10-hour work day. She told me that I already “work” 16 hour days as it is. She could pick up extra hours and maybe cover after school care for kids for the 2-hour overlap. She literally told me she could be gone 4-6 extra hours a day & not effect the family dynamic. I hugged her. I didn’t care about who puts in the most effort, it was just wonderful being recognized for my part.

One of the problems I have with the article (and others like it) is the idea that men that aren't dating/married are "lonely". While there are still some men who wouldn't mind being with a woman (if they could find one that isn't a modern woman), there are many who are not interested in dating or marriage at all. Many of these men are happy with their lives the way they are. They aren't lonely at all. They have many friends and spend their time the way they want. The idea that men aren't dating, and therefore are lonely, is just another version of the "men NEED women" (they don't) canard that is constantly used to prop modern women up.

Being single and alone is better than being with a toxic abusive women. A couple points to go with that. 1. Abusive women are really common contrary to what main stream society tells men. 2. Being Emotional needy... I can understand, but blame instead of working together? And then wonder why they're single? Holy Cow... I need help too, we all do... but when I'm drowning in my own issues I don't want to blamed and have more work piled on... or it's easier to say after being exhausted: "it's not going to work out" and then somehow I'm happier being single. Not lonely at all. I'm alone but there's a big difference. Its peaceful. I come and go as I please. I was a single Dad with full custody of my daughter and went through a bunch of relationships. None took because I put my daughter 1st. Had one even tell me that she should be 1st and not my daughter. Sorry. So now it's just me. Raised my daughter the best I could and she's on her own now and doing fine. Good job, great boyfriend and living life. To me, that's all that matters.

At one point I felt that way, but I'm not anymore. I see more and more people leaving relationships more then ever. Two of my friends that were married for 10 years recently got divorced. That really opened my eyes seeing that.
