naysayers arise because very many people died and were brutalized by this govt. with no regard, empathy, restitution etc, people use this as an opportunity to advance themselves. The same thing happened in 2023. The police shot very many people in Kisumu etc dead. They are completely forgotten. Relegated to the dustbin of history. Families lost breadwinners, their only hope etc, and will struggle for the rest of their lives. Those who instigated the maandamano got to use that outcome to negotiate and advance their careers. There's little difference between this and the Kiambaa church massacre in 2008, which Ruto nonchalantly dismissed as "an accidental fire, during preparation of lunch"
