Rival fanbases are so mad about how Oregon went from being bad to great in the past 30 years, very hard for some people to accept
@pedrogudino11339 күн бұрын
I accept it😊

I agree, although it shouldn’t be such a tough pill to swallow. Oregon has poured so much money and effort into becoming a nationally relevant program. When I was at FSU in grad school(20 years ago) everyone laughed when I talked about Oregon becoming more relevant. Still need to get over the hump in the big game, but Oregon being good makes college football less regional, more interesting and better over all. The BIG10 jumped at the chance of having them. Whatever happens this year, the Ducks are here to stay as a nationally recognized top level program.

Oregon certainly has an opportunity to win the whole damn thing. Dillion Gabriel fan since UCF great video Jalen

Good video and a lot of great points people have forgotten. I keep trying to tell people who say Oregon shouldn't be considered an elite program, you do understand that they have been on the national scene for 15 years now. Look at all the bowl appearances, 2 championship appearances in less than 5 years, and you can not deny, the Chip Kelly era changed the game of football on both the college and pro levels. They have earned their seat at the table. Hopefully this year they get to top it off with a Natty! Go Ducks!

I’m a Bama fan since the late 1980s. As a fan I’ve seen them win 7 National Titles and play for 3 more but as much as I loved the Saban years there’s nothing like the first and 1992 is still my favorite to this day. If you win one this year Oregon fans savor it because you only get to experience the first one once.

Shout out to Mike Belotti for making the Ducks relevant. I'll never forget the Fiesta Bowl season or beating Michigan at home and at the Big House. That might be something people expect us to do now, but at the time it felt like David and Goliath. Mike got the absolute most out of mostly 3 star recruits. Everything since is built on the success of his teams.

@@patrickthorpe8860 yeah he really is overlooked by the national media when it comes to talking about how the program of Oregon football became so big

Coach Rich Brooks deserves to be mentioned in any video about Oregon's success. He did the heavy lifting in the 80s and early 90's when Eugene was just a blip on the West Coast recruiting map. He also hired Belotti as OC who took over after the '94 Rose Bowl season.
@maninthemiddle556 күн бұрын
Agreed, Rich Brooks really got the ball rolling for the Ducks.

The hope among Oregon fans is, is this our time? Is the 3rd time the charm? Many of us think, under Dan Lanning, and seeing what he has accomplished so far, are indeed believing this could be the year.

As an Oregon fan. Lanning right now recruiting coaching and in the transfer portal. Regardless of if we win it all. I hope Oregon keeps Lanning happy, he is something special.

Mario Cristobal recruited Penei Sewell. Penei started as a true freshman and would go on to win the Outland trophy. That set the tone and led to Jackson-Powers Johnson. Ducks have had dogs on the oline for awhile now

Great vid! I came to UO as a student in fall of 1993. There was a great football tradition-just not a winning football tradition😂 It’s been one hell of a ride since then. Rose Bowl after ‘94 season, so many great players and coaches, and since then more seasons with bowl games than without ‘em. GO DUCKS!!!

As someone who was in the stadium for the 83 toilet bowl vs. the Beavers and K Wheaton's pick against the Huskies I've witnessed the rise firsthand and you absolutely have to give some credit to Rich Brooks but honestly, the biggest credit definitely goes to Phil Knight. He brought the zip, the flash, the bling that jumpstarted recruiting.

Oregon had an undefeated season before I was born... 1916. Since then every Duck team has had the same thing in common. 1 loss. ALWAYS! They probably have a loss coming. And it's NEVER during the regular season unless it ends their season. Sure, they've won a couple of Rose Bowls but always choke the big one.
