Esther JUST answered a question of mine on instagram. I wondered instead of Charlie being shot, did the writers consider Ruby being shot by revenge by Jake, since Charlie shot Jake's bro ? Esther said yes, they wanted to do this story line, but Esther wanted to leave, so they made it that Charlie got shot ! Esther is lovely and answers all my instagram questions.

Brax knows that it was jake not the other guy that shot charlie he just doesn't want to tell the police or ruby and casey the truth knowing that they could be in danger too. I luv how brax counts ruby as a daughter and promise her that he will always be there for her after charlie's death

Yes, even if she was mad at him for Charlie being shot coz of the gang war. In the end, she became close with him and then she got that shitty ending. Ruby deserved a nicer story line to end her time in Summerbay
