The River Irwell in flood

I work in THE LOCK KEEPER pub right next to the river, and it closed for the night when the flooding happened. Then the electricity went out in many parts of Radcliffe including my street.

You missed the part when the storage container came under the bridge "KABOOM" i felt it in the kitchen, like a bomb going off, the a small speed boat fell victim too.

Said Shipping container was picked up & swept away from nearby Pioneer Mill/ELPM... It ruptured a small gas pipe that was secured to the footbridge behind Asda..

Maybe redo all your floorings with tiles/concrete/cement and no more carpet/wooden floors in your homes? I mean in areas/towns that are likely to get flood again...just a thought,peace;-)
