Accurate. It’s why I replaced the most vulnerable section of my fencing this summer, at a time of low demand and reasonable prices. It’s sound as a fortress. My partner thought I was crazy and the old one would have lasted a few more years, but it did fold in a past storm and had to be reinforced and repaired. I knew it’s just question of another bad storm. I’m so glad it’s been sorted, my neighbour’s identical age and position fence has been flattened. Them and their back garden neighbours are now scrambling to get it sorted because they both have dogs as well and their dogs don’t get along.

Normal winter with winds. Frankly news reports showing trees, with damaged roots, falling over is not surprising really due to the root thing. Honestly, it's winter and it generally gets windy and wet in winter. They are trying to make the new generation scared of everything... who does this favour?
@JamesDeanMichael805 күн бұрын
You are in a rabbit hole, the climate is clearly changing, deny all you want
@trevormercury50685 күн бұрын
Not denying it. Climate has always been changing through natural cycles, sun's activity (never mentioned), earth rotational axis, etc. And now with governments around the world performing geoengineering experiments and world bank / China building huge dams concentrating large quantities of water in small areas and drying up river and streams throughout Asia and Africa - is causing issues being marketed as Climate Change. But, then you need to turn MSM off and actually read and understand scientific papers. And that's the problem, most people watch and believe MSM only.

In the aftermath of this, I am sure we will get a thorough government response to the crisis. I am sure that our beloved Keir Starmer will be thrilled to hand out money to people to repair any damages their property has sustained. I am sure that Keir will not just ignore this and continue handing money to illegal immigrants to pay for their luxurious hotels instead of helping the people he supposedly represents.

Wow everyone it is bad in Pembrokeshire now. Heard our roof tiles slide about. Foundations of the house groan, and we had a power cut for 15 mins late last night. .The WiFi is going off and on all of the time today. Adds to the fun and games. No public transport here at all. One of the Welsh Piers has been wrecked here and businesses, kiosks have blown into the sea. So, we have it all at the moment. Blown away with the wind.
@mysticjen3795 күн бұрын
Llandudno Pier has had kiosks damaged, trees down, and the River Conwy was dangerously close to bursting today but seems to be dropping now. No power cuts thankfully but apparently they had them in Aberystwyth.

Maybe they should send out warnings to tell people not to take their dogs out especially a whippet in a thin coat.. dogs can't protect their head and eyes from flying debris. I'm sick to death of seeing this stuff wrap yourself up showing only your nose and leave every part of your dog hanging out except their back, your dog shouldn't be out in it like a joy ride. You can tell if they don't want to be there so stop ignoring signs. You should Google how wise it is to take your dogs out in storms and learn. This lack of care is more frightening than any storm.

They always say 90 or so mph winds and then have the audacity to say this is rare or new in Britain. They are just relying on how forgetful people are. We've had much worse then this back in my childhood even snow storms that lasted a whole month once when I came out of school, it was an actual blizzard of, you guessed it 90 mph winds. I remember it was February cause it always snows then and our school had been canceled for a month. Other countries must be laughing at us, and just think we have another rainy day. Also they do this so they don't have to pay money for infrastructure and sewer plumbing. Global warming exists but they are using it as a tool to keep the infrastructure weak so we pay more money.
@iansinclair75815 күн бұрын
I am old enough to remember the severe winter of 1963, lots of deep snow. That was fun. Then in 1969 we had really really strong winds in the west of Scotland. Ships dragging anchor at the tail of the bank, a sugar boat sinking a dredger sinking and a couple of people drowned from the dredger. Onshore hundreds and hundred of mature trees down. I’ve never seen so many chimney stacks down since. Funny thing is nobody mentioned anything about global warming or climate emergency. It is climate con.
@Emberchariot5 күн бұрын
@iansinclair7581 thank you I'm not going mad then. 😅 When Europe froze over in Victorian times they didn't make a big deal of it, in fact they put their skates on. Was this the same storm that tore down hundreds of trees, Kew gardens mentions it and my dad told me about it he's a 60s child and he said it was the worst one he remembered. Back then they never said how bad it was just got on with it.
