I have not been in San Antonio in 10 years. This video was pure nostalgia for me. Thank you.

Thank you this brings back so many memories when I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston we used to come down to the Riverwalk and go to the mall. This was 1989. They would serve me alcohol because I was in my class B's. 19 years old having a beer at the Rivercenter Mall in 1989 San Antonio....priceless.

The Riverwalk is now developed for 15 miles of urban waterway. The Riverwalk has several districts. There is the central loop Riverwalk, Museum Reach, Pearl District, Eagleland, Lone Star/South River, and the Mission Reach. The S.A. River is actually 225 miles long and reaches the Gulf of Mexico. San Antonio attracts nearly 40 million annual visitors making it one of the most visited cities in the country. The city is developing its second urban downtown waterway which is 4 miles long called San Pedro Creek cultural Park which has a Riverwalk feel and is dubbed as San Antonio's second Riverwalk.

Was at Lackland AFB in the summer of 1983. The way I remember it the Alamo was on one end and you worked your way down the River walk and ended up at the Tower of the Americas. I don't remember the name of the place but they had the best damn pizza I ever had down there. A long time ago!

If yain't from there, I advise avoiding Riverwalk restaurants unless you know where you're going. And that's because most of them are really medioicre, and overpriced. Rather, head out to Mi Tierra, Don Pedros, Las Palapas, or Taqueria la Tapatia (just to name a few) for the good stuff.
