Aside superb cinematography, my thinking is that the video lacks the story. It isn't properly explained. I don't understand how that picture was there.. maybe 5-10 sec memorabilia? And the character was dressed very vintage, wearing a classic watch yet he pulled up the latest phone on the market. Thats my 2 cents, congrats on this short film!

I don’t think you need to know how the memorial got there. You can assume someone died there, and it inspires the protagonist to value life and not be so in a hurry. Although the phone threw me off at first, it just is what it is. Not everything has to be “timeless”

I really liked this short. It is so simple, but effective. I kind of wish you would take the camera/lens name out of the title because it makes it seem like a camera test.

Hey funny you mention that, I actually hate doing it. The reason I do is if we're all being honest most of the people who watch shorts are filmmakers. The camera and lens gets more people to see my film every time. Lol

The plot may mean this: the hero was anxious about time, but he saw a deceased person on the roadside. The deceased will never be troubled by time again. The hero thought about it and understood it. He was no longer anxious at night and left alone.

Protagonist was waiting for his ride who didn't show up so tried to ring his ride. Then sees the memorial of the deceased young man. Reflecting life is too short to wait and decides to walk instead.

That first shot where it's dark outside, how did you get that shot where your body figure is completely dark in the frame? hopefully that makes sense lol

Expose for the sky! The figure will fall into darkness.

@@JustMoe11 Essentially shoot toward the sun/the bright side of the sky. Expose the camera to see the full detail of the sky, with less light on the subject they will appear darker. Contrast can be increased in post also.
