This book changed my outlook on life. Not only did I accept that life is difficult, but also learned to enjoy the process while I work towards a goal. Daily mundane tasks, such as making meals, helping with homework or laundry, may seem trivial, but they show your family true love. I also learned to relish the serendipitous moments.

Fantastic Book. Mental health according to Peck is a total dedication to the truth. His explanation of people who take on too much responsibility vs. those who take on too little.

Book is far deeper than lessons you summarized, especially lessons of love. It is only 4 hrs of audio book. Good efforts and good simplified summation.

Beautifully illustrated......low key music in the background is so appropriate.
A relationship isn’t an entity. There’s simply you and others (who really are you). You relate to them.

Hi Brandon.. among the 3 ideas mentioned 1 responsibility is accurate but in 2 and 3 there are problems. love is separateness is false, instead i will say Love is owning people without behaving like a owner.. and idea 3 its never okay to lie to protect strangers, coz i have faced strangers who are criminal minded taking favors by behaving as innocent.. rather i suggest speak what you see then verify the reality & help. I request you to question few ideas and concepts of books. we must make sure to be and create best life examples am i right.. Brendon???

I think it's also okay to lie when two people don't talk to each other because of disagreement or something, it's okay to lie and say that the other person said nice things about you and that he wants to talk to you again. So that they become friend again

@OnePercentBetter8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jatin, I really value your comment - You make a great point about being a niche player. As you've noticed, this channel is quite broad in topics covered: love, happiness, relationships, history, and general non-fiction. Over the course of the year, I'd love to give this channel a narrower focus. This channel is about you guys, so by commenting like you have, then I know what it is you want! Over the next few months, there will be more reviews of business books. Thanks again :) -Brandon

There is a problem 4:52 the problem is the promise. I wouldn't have kept promises I'm not willing to keep. But even if you promise it is ok to lie to the police men, because it is someone else's burden (the man that asked for the promise) it is ok to keep someone else's lies or secrets because they are not your own.
@stefis65 жыл бұрын
It depends on personal responsibilities and balancing: if the man s escaping the police after committing a heinous crime and you lie to the police, delaying his capture it gives the man a chance to commit more crime. Is that OK? I say no. SO it is not ok to lie to the police, it is better to lie to the man! This is "balancing" - making morally, or ethically sound decisions.
