The Road that Time Forgot, FS Road 711. North Carolina Adventure Motorcycle roads

I ride Forest Service Road 711 in the Nantahala Area on My BMW R1250GSA

It was still a decent road up until the early 80s.

I found myself on it wondering when they were going to cut the grass. Then it looked like bombs went off in the lanes. It was awesome.

How smooth is that BMW 1250 been thinking about my next bike being a adventure bike but I like you I don't want to ride to technical of roads just get back on some good roads like what you are riding. Been thinking about the BMW and the Harley-Davidson Pan American

I tried out the Pan America and it was a very fine motorcycle, I just thought the BMW seemed a little more balanced, and they have been in the Adventure bike business longer than anyone. I really don’t think you could go wrong with either. It’s as smooth as you can expect from a twin cylinder

You mentioned starting in Tipton NC, but I'm having trouble finding USFS 711. Can you provide lat/long coordinates? Thanks for producing great content! I'm always looking for new FS roads
