Fun fact, and historically relevant to the D-Day anniversary coming on the 5th, at time stamp 44:44, on the wall that Northern is looking at, is a memorial to those people, who were, quote from the plaque: Victims of Fascist Violence, or 'ZRTVE FASTISTICANEGA NASILIA'. As well as people who 'ZA SVOBODO DAROVALI SVOJA ZIVLIENJA V II SVETOVNI VOJNI', or 'For Freedom, They Gave Their Lives to World War II.' I just thought it was really cool to see that, and wanted to share that the plaque is more significant then at first glance for native english speakers like myself.

i think the single best heuristic is to look at the sun. i know NL knows this, but i think it has to become muscle memory.

You would gain so so many points in these playthroughs if you followed the capital rule. Outside of Europe and NA if you have no reason to believe it isn't the capital, always go with the capital. Not only are they often big and well covered relative to the rest of the country(such as how you could have had Phnom Penh easily), but they are also often well centralized so even if you are wrong you are hedged anyway(such as the first Indonesia round). This is really useful when you are competing with others who will get the country but might try to get fancy.
