You don't know how nice it is to see a trainer who uses the curb x draw rein combination but with the knot to prevent the draw from becoming too much. It's already questionable at times to combine the two when you consider how a curb bit works and how a draw rein sort of negates that function but to have the knot is just **chef's kiss** so much nicer for all involved. Mad respect on that front. Also this was so well produced and made so props on that, too.

Love your training videos. I ride my horse for fun, I love reining, learning the slide stop and spin. We’re pretty close, I’m a little bit chicken, of falls. My horse is super sweet and easy, he’s ready for more speed. How can I be ready for speed turn and stop and canter. We do all the moves in slow motion, lol. Question?? Can my “pet” reining horse also play with barrel racing?

You are so blessed . Beautiful horses and the people in the background. I wish my horses were this great. I’m very impressed. Thanks for getting this all on film.

I’m no western rider but your epesofes are interesting, although it’s tough on the horses, you always make sure that they are in PERFECT health, and if they can’t do it you don’t push them!! 🤩

This is very well produced show and I love the concept and really enjoy seeing the different horses personalities, in fact, I would appreciate getting to know the traits of individual horses more. Though this comment is more to do with the reining industry, as this show demonstrates how the training process for the futurity is way too much for 3 year-olds - what are the statistics of how many of them break down altogether -- so hard on the them physically as well as mentally. Reining is a very demanding discipline. In the dressage world, for example, it is more structured as to what you should expect given the horses age and horses under 5 (when are mostly fully grown) are not expected to be doing Grand Prix maneuvers, for example. So realistic expectations that should not damage horses are baked into the system. There are not many humans who could graduate college as an 11 or 12 year old. Having said that really appreciate the hard work that has gone into making this a cool show.

Love your videos Matt. I seen the palomino skip a little bit in the back when you stopped him. By any chance Could you show how you would fix that please?

Lol. Good eye! We have the property next door as well specifically with “ pasture “ for turning our horses out. Free time is a VERY IMPORTANT part of the care of our horses! 👊🏾💯〽️

Hey Matt I love your videos and I like futurity but I get hung up on seeing the horses neck linked up like that. What do you tell people when they criticize that part of the sport?

Always try to stay positive. Most of those kind of people have a lot of negativity in their life and are just trolling for trouble.

I appreciate and respect your horsemanship. I myself am involved in the horse industry...Appaloosas mainly. Love them all tho. Just curious why not wrap and boot up carmine and let him run for awhile and just be a horse in the arena where it's safe instead of tying him...Not sure if you do already but it really can help a performance horse whose also a stallion clear out mentally( as I'm sure you already know) by the way...There are many nice Appaloosas that are great reining horses..Would love to see one out there....I'm just sayin....lol
