The Road Trip Continues | Vanlife Australia | Wave Rock

Hey friends, in this episode of our Australia road trip in a van we head east from Perth for the majestic Wave Rock and Magic Lake. This is somewhere Sue has wanted to visit since childhood! Along the way we stop at the colourful Raeburn Orchards and drive down the quirky Tin Horse Highway.
It feels great to be back living the vanlife on the road, we hope you will follow along as we spend the winter travelling across the south of Australia, visiting the highlights and discovering some hidden gems.

Another great video. I believe it is Corrigin (gin like gin and tonic). My parents would have put on their show in that town hall a number of times. And you were right the first time. It’s Kulin like Koolin. I also lived for a time in a place called Trayning WA on a sheep station. Not that far from those places. So all very familiar country side. Good not to be there in the middle of Summer. Wave Rock is amazing although I can understand where Nigel was coming from. I was expecting more when I visited it although it was still spectacular. I didn’t see it at that time of day and didn’t see the hippos yawn. It’s likely better set up for tourists now days. Our visit was way too quick. I wouldn’t mind doing it again one day. Haha and I do know who Whim Hoff is. Good on you Nigel. Looking forward to the next one. 🤗💖

There’s so many quirky places like the tin horse highway in this part of the country. People must have a lot of time on their hands!! And we love having the drone, really takes things to a new level. Thanks for watching!

Wave Rock is incredible! The orchard was lovely. We get plenty of maple trees that color but the fact that they were persimmon is crazy to me. Never even thought about the fact that persimmon grow on trees! 😂

Hehe yes they do! I never knew their leaves changed like that. So beautiful. We don’t really have fall colours here in Australia

@@nigelandsueadventures really?! I just assumed that any place that had 4 seasons had trees that changed colors at least a bit. Now that I think about it, it seems a bit late for fall colors. We get them in October so that would be more like April for you. Still trying to flip the seasons in my head.

Another great video guys. Sue Fyi Kulin is pronounced Cool in. 😁 I have photos from when I was a kid with my brothers sitting in holes in the rocks. I have been out there a couple times in recent years and I have no clue where those holes are. I'm glad you got to finally see it and weren't underwhelmed 😊 Safe travels and look forward to the next one 😊
