One of my favorite parts of this. There's several versions of this skit based on different issues. In one of the others, the table is more sturdy, so he slams the phone down, and the phone basically disintegrates on the table, while the table remains fine. I think this version is somehow viscerally satisfying due to how casually he just destroys it.

sad thing is that this is literally what caused obama to basically give up on reforming things. he literally couldnt get anything done because congress would put a full stop to literally anything he proposed. hell Obamacare should have worked as it was but they wouldnt pass it till a ton of additions and changes were made that basically invalidated the whole purpose of the bill.
