This is exactly the comparison I was curious about- thank you!

I know this is well beyond being a useful comment looking at the time between this message and the video upload, but: Hollyland actually has a combo package with their own wired lav mics included. I'm still on the fence on getting a Lark Max myself for various reasons, so thanks for the comparison!

The sound clarity of the Rod is unmatched, but the ease of connecting it to a phone is somewhat difficult. As for the Holland, it is easier and more beautiful, but it lacks sound quality. The sound of the Holland is less than that of the Rod.

I doubt. For me I think The quality from the Hollyland is unmatched. Only thing I think Rode has over Hollyland for now is 32-bit and Timecode

Excellent comparison, been looking for something like this. I've ended up with the Hollyland Lark Max and I was wondering if I should have got the Rode Wireless Pro instead. For my needs, the Hollyland makes so much more sense, especially with the form factor and quick/easy to use system. (Just a shame it doesn't have screw lock 3.5mm jack) Subscribed!

the lav for the lark max comes with a "R" shaped connector at the 3.5mm end of the lav, secure that with a black band and you have yourself a locking mechanism. Works great for me

Do you know(or think) that the hollyland lark max V2 will have 32bit float and timecode? If there is a rumor as this I will wait to buy the pro. I have the Rode wireless go2, and I don't like the think is made of plastic and feel like it will break in 6 month...

I definitely think so. And I am certain Hollyland would give us something much better. fingers crossed.

Why isn't anyone making this video? Too late now, you just did it! Hollyland sounds the best

Awesome video thank you! Ended up going with the Hollyland for the more dependent signal, size of the tx rx, weight, battery, price, and case.

Great video! Question, What is the difference between Hollyland Lark Max and Hollyland Lark 150?
@YourFilmmaker Жыл бұрын
The lark max has double the range of the lark 150. I don’t think the lark 150 has internal storage for recording.

Hello. My larl max sounds very very low to me. I do not really know what to do. When I turn it up I have to set 40 dB in premiere and it generates noise.

Hey, check your individual gain settings on your receiver. This might be the problem. Let me know if this fixes it.

The 416 sounds best, by far! But then they always do, although be aware they fail to omidirectional in small spaces, as the comb filter effect of the tube is interfered with by room reflections (this is true of all gun mics, although shorter ones are less effective to start with). It looks like Hollyland sent you some Trams, which are excellent personal mics. I agree that their personals sound better than the Rode ones (but if they are Trams, you get what you pay for!

I can see yall picking yhe hollyland mic because it sounded better in thid review but honestly i have both of em and ill say ill choose the rode wireless pro Everytime because of the 32bit float audio ... because setting my gain level Everytime in diff scenario because of the 24bit audio recording in the hollyland is not just okay for me compare to the rode where i csn just pop it open and running without any audio expert or wondering if my audio is clipping because of environment or change of ambience ...32 bit float is a very very big difference that sets them apart but the hollyland is def not a bad idea but ill omly choose the rode over hollyland cos of the 32bit float

It would be better if you could record the majority your video with both mics, instead of using 416. You could switch them intermittently so we can hear the differences better. A short "testing 1 2 3" is simply not enough.
