Let people have interest in the local office. Nigeria is a well blessed country with great people who are capable of turning things round positively. To attest to that you find them doing great things in other countries

Yes. Local government is the 3rd tier of the government. So just like states are established across the nations, LGAs must be established across each state. It is stipulated in the constitution for every state government to establish an LGA so that administration can be decentralized.

Councilorship is shrouded to the point of sense of allegiance to the state of residence or my state of origin. Excl Lagos, what higher office can a councilor aspire to if I live outside of my state of origin. The recruitment pipeline is innately skewed to discourage diversity and ingenuity
