I’m a 49 yr old white man from Pa- in my area all hip hop was very filtered but when I hooked my cable to my stereo to get Power 99 Philly I heard a different version with more negative references and violence - it opened my eyes as a youth to how the “system” works differently for different cultures

It went south ironically in "the south" Houston TX, with sippin lean was the thing to do. It used to only be about crack and weed but opiates changed the game. The power of addiction got the dealers who broke rule #4 of the ten crack commandments
