Classic track, I agree - you just can't believe this was an alternative version! The more I hear it, the more I prefer it to the great track that made the Exile album..... Stones are really cooking here, really kicking it out. Wonderful!

@douglaswsandy yes indeed. you should here the acoustic version of this song from 1969. it makes you wonder why they even bothered with electricity. they created enough power to light up the vicinity around olympic studios. one of the most amazing acoustic tracks i've ever heard. you can literally feel the energy pulse off of mr. richards' guitar as he drives it to the limit. the song makes street fighting man seem as though it's one of their softer ballads, and of course it rocks consummately.
