People are often under the impression that you have to be fast and flash to be a good guitarist. That's just wrong! Memorable riffs and licks played with a good feel is what makes a good guitarist in my opinion.

Robert Henry Keys (December 18, 1943 - December 2, 2014) was an American saxophonist who performed with other musicians as a member of several horn sections of the 1970s. He appears on albums by the Rolling Stones,[1] Lynyrd Skynyrd, Harry Nilsson, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, George Harrison, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker and other prominent musicians. Keys played on hundreds of recordings and was a touring musician from 1956 until his death in 2014.

Devastating news ths morning, as the radio guy said" it's a sad day as we remember Charlie Watts the Drummer of the Rolling Stones who has passed away overnight aged 80 " Charlie was a very talented Drummer, in a class of his own. One of the best and greatest Drummers. He was a very clever Graphic Artist as well. Charlie was a man of dignity and integrity. Faithful to his wife of 57 years, he never strayed. Apart from all of thiis, the best action he ever took was to punch Jagger in the face. " I'm not your Drummer boy, I'm The Rolling Stone's Drummer " Good onya Charlie!!

Charlie Watts was never the most flashy drummer. He wasn't known for the frenzied solos of Cream's Ginger Baker, or for placing explosives in his kick drum like The Who's Keith Moon. Instead, he was the subtle, stoic heartbeat of The Rolling Stones for almost 60 years. We all Brazilian fans will miss Charlie. RIP 🇧🇷.

@Scott Murphy I'm not a drummer but I think his drumming is amazing and unique. Not your typical rock drummer. He just seems to keep the beat yet throw stuff in that is unexpected. It's almost like he has his own time signature. If that makes any sense. Love him, and we all will miss him.

One anecdote relates that in the mid-1980s, an intoxicated Jagger phoned Watts's hotel room in the middle of the night, asking, "Where's my drummer?" Watts reportedly got up, shaved, dressed in a suit, put on a tie and freshly shined shoes, descended the stairs, and punched Jagger in the face, saying: "Never call me your drummer again."
