R.I.P Charlie Watts. Setting up his drum kit in heaven to rock with the angels and God.Brian's waiting for you.

Oh my God I didn’t know he had passed!😢🥺🥺😭 he was one of the best drummers I’ve felt he never got recognized for it like The Great Late Neil Peart Did from RUSH, who is fascinating on the drums, along with other greats such as John Bonhan, Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Phil Collins, just to mane a few. He (Charlie Watts) will be missed!

+Viktorija T My son is 10 yrs older than my 22 year old daughter. He ended up getting a double dose of Mom's music. He claims that I have an old soul but whenever he hears an "oldie" on the radio, he knows the song or calls me to find out what the name of the song might be. His 1st major song was Sweet Child of Mine. He was barely 3 but knew all of the words. I was born in 58 but didn't have my daughter till I was 36 so she got 60's, 70's and 80's music a lot

Absolutely 100% correct my friend, bizarrely they take some amount of unjustified stick and from the morons that know zero, always the pioneers of the era's, the band took the gig/touring model to the sizes of what everybody can watch now, they started the big thing in 69 , onwards in 72 and so on until the stadium touring came along, not just one stadium gig, entire tours, they are truly the standard of the what the rest would want to become.

I just watched this documentary, and it really is like witnessing the birth of punk rock - in 1965! The audience didn't come to the concerts intending to stand on their chairs, rush the stage or cause a riot. It just happened. That's why standing room only and mosh-pits are common now. Its amazing also how well the Stones played, considering they could barely hear themselves over all the screaming! "Charlie Is My Darling " is great rock-u-ment. Don't miss it.
@vernpascal15313 жыл бұрын
Yeah I will have to watch it. I think that people forget that prior to 4 songs in 1965 1. Satisfaction2. Like A Rolling Stone 3. Mr. Tambourine Man 4. Eve of Destruction...there were a lot of good pop songs,but lyrically most were like How Much Is That Doggie In the Window. These were the first songs that hit the top 10 that were as poetic, honest, and powerful as any poetry or social commentary.
