Godlike. When it comes to high quality rock and roll, nobody beats the Stones. Nobody.

Neither Mick Taylor nor the Stones are the same as they were back in 1972 when they were the best of all time, but they can still put on a show. And I'm glad the Stones gave Mick Taylor a little recognition here in these reunion concerts. Because he played such a central role in creating many of their most classic of classic songs.

MT's playing has given me so much pleasure over many years - bought Ya Ya's from my paper round money when I was 12 - I'm 52 now, and as soon as this number gets underway, Taylor's class and quality shines through. Stones fans have perhaps been denied something very special since he left the band.

Absolutely bluesariffic jamalicious EPIC performance!!! The BEST LIVE VERSION of Midnight Rambler in 40 years as I have seen the Stones play this @ concerts during the Ronnie Wood era many times and some great versions however by reuniting with Mick Taylor the Stones cemented their one last ...or one of their final EPIC performance(s) of this blues masterpiece!! Can't wait for the DVD version with many camera angles and DOLBY sound!!! BRAVO!!!!!! I Love the Stones!!

I like seeing taylor jumping around the stage, looking happy and enjoying his good time with the stones after so many years, but I liked it better back in the 70's when he just closed his eyes and made such beautiful music.. when jagger and richards were such great rock stars, but taylor was a genuine musician.

I was there and loved every expensive second. The skeletons of rock and a slightly rusty MT-(who has more talent in one of his pubes than most people who make music today), piss on the manufactured crap around now . .id hear this every night.long live the kings ,and MT's big sound..

This is musical nirvana for real Stones fans, a cup of nectar from the rock n roll gods, an existential liberation of the senses, a hedonistic reminder of the quintessential Stones line up from a byegone era. The magical interplay between Keith and MT that defined the Stones sound at the height of their performing prowess between '69 and '74. The bones may age, the arteries may thicken and time may diminish the senses, but the genius and the sound lives on. Ladies and gentlemen, Mick Taylor!
@rkl1712 жыл бұрын
I caught those things too! Jagger was jumping around like a 15 year old, and Keith was smiling big. Could we all just collectively pray and make this happen? The STones are a GREAT band with Mick Taylor.

My favorite of all the videos out of this performance. The cameraman follows Taylor, leaves wood in the corner to pose, which for once can be overlooked. Taylor takes his leads from Jagger, interacts with Keith and Charlie, and brings life back to the band.

Wish they'd do a whole show with Taylor and Wyman.....This number really is outstanding and breaks the rigid structure of contemporary Stones gigs. I saw MTs band about 20 years ago-the best show I've been to! Can't You Hear Me Knocking would've been great at 02.......

you took the words right out of my mouth. i watched 7 min. of the mick taylor band, and could not take anymore. ron wood and richards standing in the background looking totally bewildered, and charlie with a silly grin on his face wishing he was somewhere else. kudos to jagger though for trying to keep the whole mess together. great job on filming this i guess historic occasion.

... that Taylor sound and how we miss it ... just so much more damn Nasty than anything Ron Wood's ever moved to play. OTOH, how things have changed in the intervening years: the phantom drink Taylor raises in memory of the old days at 7:57 followed by the the kiss he plants on KR's cheek at 8:00! Is it too much to hope for some kinda encore? My compliments to the videographer as well -- captured it all perfectly.

My pregnant wife and I (I certainly didn't want to go) had to physically get up and sit outside at the Universal Amphitheater in L.A....We had industry-connected tickets and they were a little family section right next to the sound board and just got a tidal wave of treble being tossed at us in mega-high volumes...It was almost like waterboarding a prisoner!

What we see here is that Mick T. even after 39 years is the guy that gives the ground to the Stones. Ron, Keith and Daryll look rather paralyzed when Mick T. is playing. Mick T. is a very, very, strong player (but also shy player), in the tradition of John Lee Hooker or Muddy Waters, thats why he had to leave the Stones. Thank you for the Music you gave me.

you're right man. It seems that to the widows of MT not realize that he play too many notes that did not fit the song. Anyway I am happy to return to play with the Stones He deserves it for the good old days of the early 70's tenes razon amigo.
