Mick Taylor returns to the ring after 38 years and pounces like a proud black panther. Brilliant.

If I'm not mistaken, Keith has said it himself that Mick Taylor was the best musician that was ever part of the Stones.

Just seen the 29th Nov concert! Fucking fantastic performance from Mick Taylor, just rips the joint up! So much more laid back and relaxed than on this first gig, which honestly seemed under-rehearsed and he appeared understandably nervous. Not the second gig though, MT just stands there and dominates the stage and the notes flow through him. Classic lead breaks weaving through Keith and Ronnie's riffs. So happy to see the real MT one more time and the greatness he brought to the band!

No question Mick Taylor was the Heart and Soul of this iconic band. Mick was a blues MONSTER....he left the Stones and we fans lost 40 + years of his incredible guitar mastery . It would be great to see him play with the remaining Stones now that Charlie Watts is gone. Ronnie and Keith are great but they'd admit they aren't in MT class. Page Beck Zappa Duane Hendrix share the top of the mountain 🏔️....and Mick Taylor belongs with them.

I kinda agree, MT's guitar paying is a shadow of his former brilliance, God bless him. He used to be on top of his game, but now -- his tone, timing, phrasing, and especially consistency are just not the same -- I saw him live close up in the mid-80's and thought the same thing. Great to see him in such good spirits, 'getting into putting on a show, even trying to get Ron Wood into trading solos at the end (which Ron wisely avoided).

I'd say Mick Taylor's performance was okay here. Doesn't stand out in any way with his great work. My impression, like others, has been that Taylor was a shell of his former self, as I haven't been all that impressed in the KZbin performances I've seen of him. There is one, however, that was pretty good and I recommend others check out, and that is the Mick Taylor Band- Tokyo concert, I think from 2009. Here he showed flashes of his old brilliance.

I had tickets for watching Mick Taylor the 15th in Spain but he left fot playing with the Stones instead of doing his own music, he lost respect for me since that and he was my favourite Stone with Charlie

Mick Taylor's fingers might be a little bit fatter but he sounded bloody good to me. At least he's playing with some energy and looks like he's getting into it more than the rest of them, who must be tired of trotting out the same songs over and over. Rolling Stones are pretty crap live but he lifts their game for them. Shame he quit the group.
@gimmeshelter196912 жыл бұрын
Taylor seems to drag the song down, every time it hints of taking off he just brings it back down again. It's awful folks. It's awful, just admit it. He was great in early '70s but he done lost his mojo. Fortunately, the Stones themselves are still quite vibrant.
