So were and are a lot of people. There is a tendency to overrate Brian. Yeah, cleaver musician, multi-instrumental [which is not that unusual], but people keep touting him as the band 'genius', without whom the band would have been nothing. But of their four great albums: Beggar's Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street, he played only sparingly on the first two and not at all on Sticky or Main Street.

That Chuck Berry riff is being played by Keith Richards. That's what attracted me to the Stones, not "Sir" Mick's vocal.

Keith says Brian never wrote one single song. What would you call this Keith? Ruby Tuesday?

"Co-wrote" can mean a lot of things. Elvis has co-writing credits on dozens of songs, but never wrote one. So if it is true, then that's one (1) for Brian - and you're wrong Keith, man who has written literally hundreds of songs. and come on man, this is a jingle, not a song, and it sure ain't "Let it Be".

@@cameroncooper4175 Brian wasn’t a great songwriter but he did write some songs. History as in Mick and Keith, want to say he never wrote a single song. This is a jingle but still a song. Brian wrote a soundtrack for a movie. He also wrote two tunes in 1964 that were rejected by Andrew. Mick and Keith’s songs in 1964 weren’t that great either.

Three years later the Who recorded an LP full of fake ads for Heinz Baked Beans, OderOno and Medac. Think this real spot was the inspiration for the Who's third album?

For some reason, I'm wanting to sprinkle some Brown Sugar, then Let's Spend The Morning Together. But deja vu. We've done this at least 18 times before. So you know what that means... Here comes my 19th Nervous Breakfast.
