Wine and alcohol are interesting substances. They change our mind. We become less wise and more aggressive, when we drink the alcohol. The people in the roman empire did drink a lot of wine. Two or three cups of wine per day was the regular minimum of wine consumption in the roman empire. The people did drink the wine, because it was in the culture of their society. The roman empire did conquer large regions of the map, because the grapes for the wine were growing in those regions. The addiction to alcohol was a political game of the rich people that needed to provide more wine to the people in the streets. So that the people are drunk and simple to rule.
Our history would be very different, if the roman people did like to drink tea, instead of drinking wine. There are many beautiful plants that can produce a wonderful effect in the brain. The different substances can produce a different mood in our head. The roman people did select the wine as their most favorite form of manipulating the mind and the mood. The wine and the alcohol do create a range of effects in the brain. At first we do become relaxed. The brain does become weaker. We become aggressive and we think that the world is too fast for us. The wine is a good drink, but the daily consumption of the many cups of wine is not a good thing for the mind.
