i think that the continuum ending is the best ending, Gomez is learning more and more and more things beyond his comprehension, everything seems surreal and complex, but at the end he decided to stop, doing a lil drum solo and either accepting that he will never know everything or that he just want to have a happy life and not worry about anything the 64 cube ending is the worst because he finish his journey learning he's just a tiny pixel in a billion of billion of cube contained in a billion of billion of hypercube, he's just nothing in a world where nothing really matters at his size, it's just the same horror as in the cosmic horror genre

for sure, the 32 cube ending is just. way more satisfying than the 64 cube one. i see it as embracing optimistic nihilism i've seen people speculating that the world of FEZ is a simulation, and the 64-cube ending is "the simulation turning off" because of the old crt effect at the very end. i think the whole "lol the world is a simulation" cliche is pretty overdone and uninteresting at this point, so i've never really liked the 64 cube ending because of that i really wish i could have talked more about the cosmic horror of FEZ in this video!! unfortunately, it was made for a musicology class i'm taking, so i had to cut most of the stuff about the game and focus on the music instead.

@@nan0wav i never thought of the simulation theory, wich can be fine with the fake reboot, also it can be really clever in a way, you and gomez have learn too much and the truth is deceiving of horrifying and honnestly, you're video was really great, i miss my music theory when i was still in a conservatory
